Source of the post Malkin and Kessel just do not seem to mesh.
I would be more than okay with putting Kessel on his own line. I actually thought that seemed to work well earlier in the season when it happened.

I thought him and Bonino looked decent together.

It would certainly increase our scoring depth, but I'm not sure that it'll ever happen.

i'm not sure i prefer neal over hornqvist, but at best, i'm neutral. i wouldn't call it a clear win for us at all.

...and going in the way back machine, i'd say the same thing about the staal trade if not for dumoulin seeming like an NHL player. i think there's a good chance staal would have changed the dynamic of that team enough to get us to the finals that year. sutter ended up being inconsequential, and i don't know what pouliot is.

Outside of handedness, Bozak and Bonino are not dissimilar...I have advocated putting them together...I don't even understand why a RHS center would work well with Kessel to begin with, if anything, he should work better with Bonino, who is slower than Bozak, Bonino won't get in the way and he actually isn't a bad finisher in close...though the goal totals this year won't reflect that...the question is, who is at RW for Malkin...Rust...? Can he play his robust style at 17 minutes as he does at 12...? I have my doubts.

Kunitz and Hagelin, I would think, would struggle to play their off-wing, so would Wilson, just given their styles...Kunitz is the only one you could really consider because he has the best shot from the three by a wide margin...
