Bathgate was a terrific player. An excellent skater, extremely smart, playmaking, shooting, class...the whole bit...one of the first to really use the slapshot to full advantage...may have been an early user of slap-passing and pass off pads concepts as well...top-5 in points like 9 times I think, 1959 Hart winner...one of the best...
