Frustrating we couldn't score in reg, but never bad to go to OT against a WC foe.

I'm just glad that the kings didn't score on that sequence where the ref checked Pouliot.

We can beat Budaj from midrange with a good shot from 71 or 81 I think...let's do that here...

It may be confirmation bias or whatever the hell it's called but I feel like every time I've watched a Pens game that went to OT, they ALWAYS lose the opening faceoff in OT. And when you have either 87 or 71 or maybe both out there for the first shift of OT, that's a giant waste to not get that possession. IIRC, the last time we played the Kings, LA won the opening faceoff and we never saw the puck.

Sid is also really incredible with losing opening faceoffs of the game too. I know he's not one of the league's best in that area but it's seemed absurdly obvious/fluky this season.

Pens without a real QB on the blue line is a disaster. This team plays with all corners covered by a Dman that is quick on the puck. Letang, Gonchar, Coffee, Murphy. Press, press, press..

Shultz is no Letang. Elite players feed from elite players.

When your car misses five gears, it falters. Parts guy said part missing is coming in shortly.

Eff the broken stick. Bonino did a half-assed one-handed drive by on the puck carrier and then put forth even less effort backing the 3 on 1.

Yeah that 3 on 1 was on Bonino, he needed to turn around and bust his ass back as soon as the stick broke. Instead he pursued the puck below the goal line when he had no chance to get it. Meh, on to the next one.
