Wild ride for Larsson. Drafted by Detroit as a junior in Sweden. Came over to the USHL, played a year. Went to Denver University for a year and was inexplicably signed. Failed miserably in the AHL, had to be sent to the ECHL. Then he got loaned to Allsvenskan (second-tier Swedish league), then got shuffled to the Danish League - which is a bad league...somewhere in here he completely blows his groin out. Like, major major groin surgery. Worked his way back. Got HV71 promoted back to the SHL. Then had a really nice year in Leksands (SHL).

I wouldn't view this as anything crazy. It's just organizational depth, I wouldn't read anything more into than that right now...

Even though Poulin has been around for seemingly forever, this is only his second contract with the org. He was still on his entry-level...

I wonder what they're gonna try to do with him...try to re-image his game into a grinding fourth line physical forward?

Well, as we've seen this past season, it wouldn't hurt to have a modicum of skill on the 4th line, however slight it may be.

I'm probably wrong but, from my understanding on CapFriendly, If he doesn't make the Pens roster, the possibility is there to be lost on waivers. Is that right or am I totally misreading it.

He produced in wilkes this year. This is an important offseason

If he came in next season looking like a LHS Oskar Sundqvist, I'd be tickled pink.

Until they trade him for Reaves Deslauriers

Yeah my guess is PWHL expansion where they'll show a bunch of images of Pittsburgh and then the team will play in Cranberry.
