Of course Jagr should be there...

Well, he'll never retire, so...

58 is going too as he is, by far, the best defenseman in team history and may well have created a fringe HOF case in his time here...

I was kind of surprised by this, but Letang is fifth in career scoring for the Pens. Behind Jagr by 379 points.
Also surprised, although not now that I think about it, that Crosby, Malkin, and Letang have more games played than Mario.

87/71/58 all go together. 29 was the question mark for me

Oh yeah, Fleury too...the best goalie in franchise history, by smaller, but very clear margin...

First of all, no it's not.
Second of all, I can't wait to attend his induction ceremony with you...my treat.

I'm not too proud to heckle.

This organization has been very conservative with retiring numbers. Unless that changes, 68, 87, and 71 are the only guarantees.

Disagree as he didn't play enough of his career here but I won't lose sleep over it if they do.Crazy to think that we could go from 2 retired numbers to maybe 7 in like ten years. I'm including Jagr in that, because his should be up there imo

Dafuq? Spent more than a decade here and won 2 Cups. He's going into the rafters.Disagree as he didn't play enough of his career here but I won't lose sleep over it if they do.Crazy to think that we could go from 2 retired numbers to maybe 7 in like ten years. I just hope they retire #1 for the fans.

Conservative or no choices? Besides 66 - maybe Pronovost? We didn't really have many options until recentlyThis organization has been very conservative with retiring numbers. Unless that changes, 68, 87, and 71 are the only guarantees.

Retire 31 and 101.

Wait, Jagr didn't spend enough time here... ? Is that the charge?
mikey's Thread of Penguin Randomness
mikey, are there a lot of defenseman in the HOF that never placed higher than third in a Norris vote?
I legit don't know if that's normal or not.

To answer my own question in part, Mark Howe. He was runner up for the award three times.
mikey's Thread of Penguin Randomness
he's 122 points from cracking top 20 all-time in points, only actives ahead of him are Chara and Karlsson. Burns too at #19 currently. I'd think top 20 with 3 cups gets him consideration at least
mikey's Thread of Penguin Randomness
"three cups"
mikey's Thread of Penguin Randomness
Kevin Lowe is in with a highest Norris finish of #5. Only 4 top 10s
