He didn't look out of place.
Yes, but is that enough? I'm not sure.
I wasn't advocating him staying; just sayin'.
Understood. If I had to put money on it, I'd say he goes back to junior.
A lot of money.

Really hoping there's a deal out there for Scuderi. Even if he didn't suck he doesn't fit this team.

I guess we'll just have to trade Perron for a top 4 defenseman. And also get rid of Scuds so we can afford a decent specimen.
I'm hoping there's a way to move Scuds and acquire a top four dman without having to give up Perron.

If GMJR can figure out how to accomplish this then he should be executive of the decade.

Can you bet on preseason hockey? Because I'm gonna take the over in this one.

Guessing Letang and Flower are playing because of being in Quebec but good on Pens for saving the big guns for the fans in Johnstown Tuesday night.

This YouTube thing is slick, Slick.
But how long can it last?
My guess is it won't last past the preseason. GCL doesnt carry preseason games so I doubt the NHL is paying much attention to streams right now. Remember, this is the MLB people now and baseball is notoriously difficult to stream.
Two corrections:

1) GCL does carry preseason games, the choices just tend to be more limited

2) MLB doesn't get involved until January, and the NHL has already stepped up and said that they don't want them hassling folks making gif or clips of games; streaming an entire game is a different story, obviously

Pens released the lineup for Johnston. No Crosby or Kessel. That's kind of crummy, they should be in the lineup.

Well for some awful reason they play tonight, tomorrow, and Wednesday.

And Kessel and Crosby aren't playing until Wednesday. They are off tonight and tomorrow.

I know Wednesday is a home preseason game, but Tuesday is a special event. They should play Tuesday and sit Wednesday.

Look on the bright-side, Wednesday is the only time during the season you'll see them sans Kunitz :thumb:

The other games were already scheduled before they were invited to open the new arena in Quebec.

it's really bad that I'm at the point with this team where before every game (even just a preseason game) I'm hoping that someone doesn't end up getting injured in one fashion or another

Yeah, how about Crosby almost getting his achilles tendon severed the other day? Yuck.

No Crosby, Kessel, Letang, Fleury, Perron, Dupuis. I thought I also saw that Stamkos wouldn't be playing.

For as much as the NHL has been promoting this event, especially since they are carrying this game nationally on NBCSN, you would think the big names would have been in the lineup.

Produced sometime between 89 and 92 (Steve Carlson is listed as head coach and without the Hanson hair), I forgot about this video until somebody posted it on my FB wall this afternoon. It used to run every once in awhile during the summer months.

Wiki actually says that the arena is comparable in size to Consol, occupying 64,000 square metres of space. It also holds slightly more than Consol, listed as 18,259 for hockey although I'm sure a sellout number would probably push it closer to 19k.

If the Panthers continue to struggle I don't see how they don't end up there.

Their owner probably has a vacation home in Palm Beach, but not in QC.
