I guess falling asleep after the second was too optimistic. I don't understand how this veteran team full of Cup winners is so mentally weak.

I’m glad I’m not watching tonight’s game. Got other things to do. I cancelled my vpn effective march 11th so after that I won’t have a way to watch easily so I’m done.

I'm a hockey fan first, penguins fan second. If you like hockey and are lucky enough to be in the market of perhaps a top 5 player ever to play the game, you would be wise to temper your expectations of the Penguins and enjoy Sid while you still can

I enjoy and appreciate Sid immensely.
With they said I’m not going to invest time in watching things that aren’t entertaining.
Take away the pens being crappy most of the year…the more egregious thing is they are on most nights painfully boring and borderline inept. It’s not fun to watch. Sure there are glimpses here and there but overall it’s a boring brand of hockey.
I sat through the x gen years I went to many games when they were trash. That god awful losing streak. They were so bad but they were young. You thought maybe they might get better. Then thank god Sid and geno happened.
This team is full of old vets who are slow and painful to watch. There is no sid coming. There are no prospects in the system. There is no future right now. It’s just boring.
The deadline at least has a shot to try to retool a bit and get younger. We shall see what happens.
Just as I get older I’ve learned to not let sports run my life. It’s easy for me now to flip the switch and not care. I was pissed last night but today I just don’t give a **** about it.

These last few seasons and the next few going forward are all about watching Sid ride off into the sunset, hopefully on his own terms. Wins are a bonus but not where my mind is at these days. It’s watching the best player of this generation (and the rest of the “core”) finish up. They’ve given me enough highs. Hell, after the 2016 Cup, I was content with what Sid and others accomplished. 2017 was just icing on the cake.

It closed whenever GMJR let Tom Wilson start living in his head rent free, and went away from what made the team successful.

Meh. They had as good a chance as any the year we ended up getting spicy porked. They always play Tampa and Avs well. Carolina in the 2nd round would be a question mark sure . But they had a legit shot that year if their goaltending didn't all die.Yes. Boys, stay with it. Out with the bad air, in with the good air. Out with the bad air, in with the good air. I'll see you all...ALL...tonight in the GDT. It's the recent best player in the world vs the current best player in the world. And we're playing against fringe goalie with zero lateral movement. We'll kill'em.
