Being out shot, out hit and out played. Other then that, everything is OK.
The Pens are playing well against the best team in the league, a few bad turnovers is the only real critique.
Just trying some reverse psychology that didn't work.

So given the Kunitz penalty earlier, why is okay to dive at a puck and take out a guys legs when you do it?

Capitals use Iron Maiden as their goal song. We use Andrew WK. This is part of the problem.

Hard to judge any game without 29, but this is frustrating. Or maybe it's just reality.

That goal was a direct result of someone having to make sure they paid attention to where Grape Ape was and that left Niskanen with a wide open look. Pens just haven't been the same since they went up 2-0...not grinding out cycles like they were in the early 2nd and letting the Caps get too many looks at the offensive end.

Ovi caught Maata in the head with his stick earlier - no call. But then Ollie didn't go down like he got shot.

I can't wait for the Caps to crash and burn in the first round.

Haven't been the same since the Caps started hitting in earnest.

Having the guys at the point just standing still waiting for plays to happen on the PK didn't help.

Pens aren't far off from the Caps, but it's obvious why they're where they're at. Heck of a team and a killer PP.

Unless the Pens-Caps postseason mojo kicked in I think it would be a very short series.

Eh. Best team in the league and didn't get embarrassed. Would've been nice to get a point though.
