A goalie needs to make those saves and be able to shut it down for his team.

It’s through some pathetic shot block attempt by Simon so Murray picks it up late. Then Letang gets smoked back to the net. Plus the faceoff loss. Yeah, you want that to be a clean save, but you don’t always get what you want. There is plenty of fault to go around, but this constant lamenting about goaltending is tiresome and quite frankly it comes off as highly unintelligent. Watch the entire fcking play develop.

Apologize all you want. Your dissection won’t help in those situations during the playoffs. The team may not play ideal but Murray has to be better in those spots.

It’s not an either/or situation but the goalie shoulders most of the blame there. Outside against Philly was the worst. JVR in the last game is a good player in the slot but man in that spot you’d like the goalie to rise to the occasion. Last night, catch that puck.

Murray’s glove is bad. Simon is also bad. But he doesn’t play 60 minutes.

Meow. People are projecting a serious, legitimate concern about him tanking playoff games in the fashion of harsh treatment in a game that didn’t matter. I wouldn’t dial in on the details. The headline is that he’s a big old wild card. And I find that to be uncomfortable.

I love how we’re complaining about a goalie that helped us win back to back Cups literally within the last three years

I never really watched that replay last night but watching it today on Twitter Murray couldn't have put that puck in a worse place. that and, IMO Rust needs to take the man and stop trying to play goalie.

nobody is diminishing his accomplishments. we're planning ahead. if you think his rookie accolades have any bearing on his viability as a future cornerstone of the team, that's some dubious asset management.
