Quick' save percentage is 75. Ouch
Most overrated goalie in my opinion.
You crazy

Good goalie. Better than most, but he gets treated like a deity too often.
He might get a bit better media treatment than he deserves. I think it is because he is the best American goalie

Turned it on and Crosby scored, anyone give me a tl;dnw of the game so far?
Play is fairly close, but Kings have like 3x as many shots. Pens were down by 3 at one point
I'd add that even though 4 GA, it should be much worse. Fleury has played well to keep them in this game.

Crosby was really trying to undo his newly gained goodwill with that PP.

Yes. Fleury had no shot on any of the goals either.

This is one of those games where a PPG isn't nice to have; it's a necessity.

And now look. Blow the opportunity, and here we are...
...a chance for Fehr or Cullen!

Like I said, I like Quick. But he is close to Fleury without any of the stigma.

I said it before and i'll say it again, if they're not going to make a trade to address the blueline issues, they need to fire Johnston. He's clearly not able to work with what he has. 4 shots in 27 minutes, completely outplayed, not even a sniff.

It starts with the simplest of things. Dupuis and Kunitz aren't top line material, neither has looked good all season there. Yet shift after shift they're paraded out there, doing nothing at all to show they belong there. Heck, why not give Sid Perron back? I realize the Geno line is working but man some balance would be nice and Perron might help Sid's line actually gain some possession.

The whole Sprong situation is a debacle. Play the kid with some high end offensive talent and let's see how he handles it. It's absolutely mindblowing that Sprong keeps getting sat and the coaching staff is so **** blind to the fact that Dupuis and Kunitz do NOT belong on the top line.

I'm not asking for deep x's and o's, just the simplest of personnel choices. You need to create better offensive chances and puck movement and that starts from the blueline. Dressing Clendening and Pouliot might be an idea. I'd be trying this option before I go and make a stupid trade. If you're not going to address the blueline issues from within or through a trade and you're going to roll with this lineup all season, then can the coach, because he's not getting anything out of this lineup.

If they are rolling with this lineup all season, then obviously the front office believes in this lineup and therefore the coach would have to go.

They're not going to be able to acquire enough help at D to make a real difference. Firing the coach won't affect that. Mind you, I don't care who the head coach is until they ice a lineup capable of winning.

I can see why going 5-hole on Fleuey would be so appealing, but he shuts it down so quick.

Why not let the team play opened up like this all the time?

Errey is right about that. Since about half way through the 2nd, this has been a very entertaining game. For all the legitimate complaining about the tedium of the typical NHL product, it's good to note exceptions to that when they happen.

Cause its taking a goalie making unbelievable saves to keep it a one goal game...you don't bank on that...

Kunitz Sid Bennett might work for the long haul. There is some seeds there, but not enough chemistry yet.

I'd love to hear what Hornqvist has to say in those scrums.
