he could've been arguing the boarding that occurred like a minute before
From Yohe: "Penguins bench quite angry that boarding wasn't called." So you're probably right.

Or the subtle "stick between the legs" that Bozo the Hartnell gets away with or...

the BJs are so dirty they knock the sticks out of their own goalie's hands

Steigy & Errey reporting that Crosby went back with Heinze a little early.

Meanwhile, Yohe: "Crosby is going to the locker room. Might be hurt... Crosby's stick got stuck in the boards. Wonder if he hurt his right arm when the stick got stuck. Acted strangely. Went right to locker room"

Screw you, Yohe.

I don't know how to evaluate that period. We scored one, but.... I dunno. Wasn't bad.

Johnston has to be senile or completely unaware of what's going on on the ice to argue that call.
I agree with his arguing. *Shrug*
Replay clearly showed 6 guys.

I mean, you can have six guys on the ice...it's a matter of who is "in the play" and who is "going off" - there's context to almost everything in hockey...

Sounds like he was arguing about the no call when comeau got boarded.

Johnston doesn't have your advantage to look at the replay before arguing. And again, it could've been over the lack of boarding call on Comeau...
Could not be more true. RT @AGretz: If Comeau had remained on the ice after that hit whoever hit him would have been gone from the game.

I think it was a real good period. Pretty tidy defensively against a team that can be tough to defend if you're a little on the softer side, which we are on the back end without Letang certainly...boxing out well, a couple of good clearances...we're owning the NZ, as expected...and offensively we've gotten some decent chances, a couple of good slash support sequences led by the captain...Fleury was magnifique...

I wouldn't say we dominated, but that's a good period...

First Period Recap brought to you by Baierl Automotive

-Flower standing strong
-Crosby looking good once again
-Cole gets better and better
-PK was strong
-Bobs made some key stops to keep this a 1-0 game
-Strong first road period

Now can they keep it going?

Well, we're playing a team that's 11th in the conference. It was a good period, but looking plainly at the Pens, I didn't see a great team. I know, baby steps.

That 11th-place team is 9-1 in their last 10 & has won 8 straight. Don't just count them out that easily.

Edit: Included in those wins... St.Louis, Chicago, Ducks, Isles.
