So assuming Murray is as good as gone after next season in the expansion draft, do we think he has any trade value this offseason?

Didn't he say the exact opposite before the Montreal series?

I don't believe. My understanding was he said before the deadline it would be tough to keep both. Could be wrong.

Difficult? It’s going to be impossible to keep both.

The obvious answer here is to move Murray during the season and protect Jarry.

Whatever the return is for Murray, they would be best served to add youth.

Of course, I said the same thing about Maatta, and they did that... but then they undid that.

Jugs can shoot, but he's a really soft player...

Last 77 games, 28 points...6 were on the PP. You're talking about $4.1 million there. I don't know if that gives me a lot of warm and fuzzies...is it on the table? Well, yeah, he's on the roster. He really would fill a need if he was good...but man, that condition has been tough to overcome...
He's got a great shot, and he's huge - but being so soft and injury prone is a major concern. Not exactly a player you can count on to give you a whole lot.

Could he be a late bloomer? Maybe. Other guys have found their scoring touch well into their career, even some who were on the softer side (Ray Whitney and Robert Lang come to mind). I agree though. Penciling him in as the 3C and counting on him for 15 goals and 70+ games is probably a pipe dream at this point.

Murray is a RFA this summer. I think that he will be gone at the draft.

Not bad. Pretty sure we'll be retiring 19 soon for Whit though so he'll need a new number

Smart, competitive...not very high on skill, wheels, or athleticism from what I've seen from him...he'll be there at 15 though...this was the first time he played center before...

*checks Sidney Crosby hockeydb*

*squints at meow*
I know, I know...it's a weak year for the Q too...outside of #1, I wouldn't expect another Q pick until the 20's...

And his PPG number isn't that sexy for the Q, where I have hilariously stated before that they hand out points in warm-ups, yet no one laughed.

The defense wasn't the issue so I'm not sure I see the benefit in letting Martin and Gonch go...

Unless GMJR was expecting them to put lipstick on the **** pile that is Jack Johnson.

Didn't you hear? Johnson was fine. Schultz was the problem.
