I feel like Cowher put an asterisk by his name after that. Every time I talk about him it's something like "Yeah, he was a great coach and brought the city a Super Bowl, but remember when he cranked that stupid Hurricanes siren against the Pens?"

Cowher was a playoff game, and Adams regular season, with history. Big difference.

Say, Jim, are they already discussing trading Letang over at LGP, now that Schultz proved that he is ready to replace him? Or maybe we can finally move him to wing?
Not quite that far yet. But there was talk about going with the 4/4 protection in the expansion draft to protect him. Also talk about the $3.5M-4M minimum contract that he should be offered. Etc...

I have not been on much so there have been a higher than usual amount of new posts each time I login. I am just trying to ignore the specifics (individual stupidities) and go with less replies than I normally make. There are only about 3 or 4 people consistently posting right now (last few weeks) with others just filling in. The logic in many of the posts simply make you tilt your head and think "what?"

Nah, Adams actually played for and was drafted by that franchise. Cowher just lived in the Raleigh area (NC State player too).
Wasn't his late wife from NC?

Yes, I believe they met while they were students at NC State.

The NHL put out a centennial video the other day...it's about 100 seconds long or whatever...guess who made the cut...?

Who? You mean Craig "2-time Cup champion" Adams.

Craig Adams could skate circles around every poster on this board while stickhandling two pucks at once. But he wouldn't, because he's too nice to show us all up.

Not that I think it'll happen, but we need some discussion in here, so...

Adrian Dater says that the Pens have inquired with the Avs about Gabriel Landeskog. First and foremost, take that with a grain of salt. Let's play the hypothetical game here; who do you see the Pens needing to send over?

Would you start around Pouliot? Maatta?

Dater has said everyone in the league wants Duchene and Lando...I can't imagine we can beat other offers in a bidding war...I would part with Poo in a deal like this no problem...Maatta is tough because I need to know who replaces him as our lead goal preventer...

When Sakic trades one of those guys for a pouliot level player, that should be the final nail in his coffin.

He did trade mini Bergeron for a limited hockey sense player in Zadorov and a bust-since-day-one in Grigorenko...so there is a history of him trading young top six forwards for questionable prospects...

But yeah, hard to believe a Poo centered deal would beat out all the other offers...

Why would they trade Landeskog?
Fire sale because they're on pace to tie or break the record for lowest points in a season since the 05 lockout?

Like I said, take it with a hefty grain of salt. I only posted it because there was quite a lack of anything during the bye week.
