April 20th, 2015 / Face-off Time: 7:00 PM EST
Live from the Fifth Avenue Forum and the Consol Energy Center in Pittsburgh, PA, the Pittsburgh Penguins face off against the New York Rangers.
Best-of-seven series tied, 1-1
The Pittsburgh Penguins return home for Game 3 of the Eastern Conference First Round on Monday and will try to build on the home-ice advantage they created for themselves by winning Game 2 against the New York Rangers at Madison Square Garden two nights earlier. The Penguins will play three of the next five games at home if the best-of-7 series goes the distance.
Ehroff Update
Defenseman Christian Ehrhoff, who missed the last nine regular-season games and the first two contests of the series with an upper-body injury, was absent from Pens morning skate after not participating in Sunday's optional practice.
"He just hasn’t been progressing, so that’s a step that’s been taken," head coach Mike Johnston said of keeping Ehrhoff off the ice. "And it’s just simply because he had sort of flatlined in his recovery and hadn’t been progressing from there."
