Really, this game (aside from the absurd officating), came down to that awful, awful goal 30 seconds in. I mean, it was a 2-1 game with a goal that was scored as the game started. Goes back to what I said in the OP though, if this team cannot find a way to generate legitimate scoring chances, they are done.

Props to Comeau, great dirty goal early, and hard work for the rest of the game.

God this team is awful. Basic **** passing is completely lost on them. Zone entry with an extra man? Forget about it.

I have tried so hard to be optimistic but my lord this team is a dumpster fire of offense.

MAF was the only good thing about the Pens. Their offense and defense are inadequate.

Sid's head is in Mississippi. He was a non-factor.

Is there a chance he is back for game 3, being cleared for contact? I honestly have no idea.

The talk before next game has gotta be zone entry. The little plays aren't happening for them.

Sure. HCMJ was able to make the right adjustments after the first period, and the Pens showed more discipline and fortitude in one playoff game under MJ than in five years' of playoff games under Bylsma. Hard not to think this would be a different series if we had Letang and Ehrhoff in there. The Rangers may win this series, but they're going to have to work for it.

I would probably start hitting the deck on the interference on every entry dot italian FIFA

A good degree can be expected but my god they didn't even call the free hand haul downs

Come on, let's not give the refs incentive to call embellishment since they LOVE calling that on the Pens.

The Comeau penalty was a bad call. The rest? Meh. When you have a bunch of weak skaters and guys that don't feel like trying, all that interference is going to look a lot worse than it is.
