Mr. Kessel appears to be unable to complete the purchase of a goal.

Zatkoff is going to have to be replaced by Murray down the stretch...we cannot afford basic automatic losses with him in net
Pretty much this.

It's not like we need the points, Z.
Right. It's not like we could actually be in a playoff spot at the end of the night if we win this game.

Man, it's like we're so close and so far away.

The guy is killing me.

Why not? Not much difference with him pulled.

Kessel is so bad at one timers. It's baffling.

Kessel looked like he tried to miss there.

It's pretty telling when an empty net has a better save percentage over 3 1/2 minutes than your goalie does.

Lotta optimism for me from this game. 3rd line was pretty strong; Rust & Kuhnhackl held their own. Crosby's line continued to play well, as did Daley. Letang looks 100% (or at least 90+).

Malkin... a good goal, but a lot of turnovers & poor choices. Kessel's STILL snakebit. Zatkoff just isn't good enough... at all. He's the main reason Pens lost this game.

**** Zatkoff....he should be bagging groceries. He's just not good enough to be in the NHL and there's a goaltender playing at WBS who is.....considering these points are precious, they might want to, like, CALL UP MURRAY NOW.

Can we try Kessel in goal? He seems pretty good at not letting the puck go in the net on the other end

:fist:

He played a better game than Cole, as it's impossible to be a net loss when you're scratched.

Zatkoff was so pedestrian...but we have to do better than 2 goals on 38 shots against Elliot

If only we had the goal machine Perron...

I thought Cole has been fine ever since being slotted back where he belongs.

Yes. With every point so important from here on in, we need to have Murray in goal when Fleury's not playing.

Unless he'd miss the puck the way he misses the net.

Simple answer is they didn't play the 3rd like the first two. And that's why they lost.
