They need to hire an assistant GM to take care of the D, because JR is obviously clueless or doesn't care or whatever.

He's aware of the problem, but it's an issue of whether they can/are willing to part with assets to improve the situation. Injury aside, Letang playing like a poor man's Niskanen hasn't helped the situation this season.

I mean, when 2 of the 3 Pens in front of the net are Sheary & Warsofsky, it's basically a walking advertisement for snuggle.

Not really a knock against them, it's just... who they are.

Watching this team right now just makes me sad. This is the one team that I root for across all sports that consistently has a chance to win it all. But right now, there's just a lot of empty sweaters out there who just don't seem to want to make that extra something to make it work. The same stuff happens every single game -- offsides on potential rushes, drop passes to no one in the neutral zone, blind passes on the PP that end up outside the zone, etc. etc. etc. And these are by the supposed STARS of the team!! No one's stepping up and being a leader. There are some guys that need to go -- Cole being the first one..Perron is another. I'm sick of both of their acts right now. This team has zero firepower and it was easy to turn the game off once the Bruins got the 3rd goal.

Now we see just how much Fleury is this team's MVP. Let's give Murray a shot and see what he can do because I see zero potential for any future Zatkoff success.
