I saw some discussion about his eligibility to play in the AHL due to a covid shortened junior season not being a 'full' season. Suppose the real question is, what benefits his growth better, being the leader on a jr team, or playing 3rd(?) line in the AHL.

Like you said, there is no rush.

Perhaps Dubas has some prospects or FAs he'd like the opportunity to sign from his previous evaluations (Kral, for example...), and he doesn't want to be handicapped by the contract limit.

🚨 Boys, getting kind of nervous...the deadline to sign Nolan Collins is 48 hours away...now,.granted, his already low production went down in his third year of junior hockey...and sure, he was the only pointless and minus player across Sudbury's nine playoff games...but it's just so hard to find #7 defensive d-men with no puck skills, I hope that he's not holding out on us 🚨😬🚨

These aren't my territory. I like the concept though. Young players with potentially some upside...I think Klassen can really shoot, if I recall...I just don't really watch those two leagues to that level at this point, I'm sorry to say...
