Kral highlights:

From Taylor Haase's article on the signing:
When Kral signed with the Pelicans, the team's sporting director Janne Laukkanen called him "an offensive defender who is skilled on the puck and brings more expertise especially to our special teams play." Kral characterized himself as a "two-way defenseman who can play with the puck without shying away from tight spaces. I'm a calm and positive guy both on the ice and in the locker room."

Before moving to North America in 2021, Kral played in both the WHL with the Spokane Chiefs and in the top Czech league with HC Kometa Brno. He won the league's championship with Brno in 2017.
Old friend Janne Laukkanen!

He's a UFA and I hope this doesn't mean they are re-signing him.

I saw an article about Kase returning and thought the same.

Is he back to being fully healthy now, or is this a "one more concussion and he's probably done for good" situation?

I can't imagine a player with multiple head injuries getting any "reversed" so to speak...ya know? I'd think he's probably in that danger zone...

Word is that Jake might sign for 8 x 8 in Carolina. Now, my initial reaction is annoyance, because I don't see why we couldn't have made a similar offer before this season. But if I'm being honest, there's a good to great chance that this contract will be a huge anchor for at least 3 years if not more. It's the kind of contract I normally roll my eyes at. Good luck and enjoy your retirement, Jake.

my initial reaction is “oh yeah, that makes sense that we didn’t sign him because that term is way too long”

I’d be curious to see how these types deals 7+ years play out. I feel like the majority of them end up with the team trading the player or something before the end of the term. Not that that is a terrible thing but it feels like those contracts usually don’t work out; though I’m happy Sid has signed for 12 years and obviously Sid is very different than everyone else
