Navy -12
New Mex -36
Bowling Green +34
PSU -24
Wash/Aub o50
WVU/Tenn o61
UNLV +25

$10 pays $937
Well, you got 1 right at least :D

My 'good beat' was taking FIU +10 1/2 over Indiana and then seeing it go to +13 about an hour before gametime and I doubled down on it. 38-28 Indiana with :18 left and they have 4th and 1 on the FIU 2. A FG is 0-1-1, a TD is 0-2, and a stop is 2-0. Instead, Indiana gets knocked down for a gain of 1, first down, and the clock runs out. That more than made up for betting on UMASS against BC.

Mitigated that disaster above by betting on Green Bay at the end of the 3rd quarter when they were down 20-3 to win...that mopped up most of that slop from above...

I had a parlay that missed because I took the Lions money line.

Also lost the o/u for the late game by, I believe, 2 points. A game with missed FGs.

Overall I still tripled my deposit over the weekend, but, mehhhh.

My heater never really cooled off...though I did nearly blow it all in roulette one day...

Whenever it started, maybe two weeks ago (?), I'm up a shade over $3,000 I think...and that's with a few hundred out there in futures bets as well...

I also broke my record for biggest win on a single hand/play (previous $580 during this streak) - on a very, very dumb bet...I hit $1500 on a $500 bet on "2nd 12" in roulette...truth be told, it was a last ditch attempt at a greedy and partially botched "doubling strategy" attempt...nearly lost the whole shebangabang...but I didn't, so I didn't learn a lesson...

I'm starting to do parlays. I just don't care enough about football to grind at straight betting so maybe I'll try this infuriating way that you do.

I'm kind of over 5dimes. They really seem to lack a lot of the props (mvp odds, etc.) for different sports so I'm trying out bookmaker.eu instead (I've done Bovada before but was pretty underwhelmed)

Got the Jets -3 home vs Miami, Saints home -9 vs the Browns and the Panthers +6 in ATL

The Bovada site redesign is not good, been thinking about shifting to another book if it keeps shitting itself on mobile.

Memphis covers -18.5 first half spread and that puts me over another arbitrary withdrawal point...so for the second time in two weeks, I'm cashing $2000 out into bitcoin...

College plays today:

Houston-T Tech Over 69 (Win...like taking candy from a baby)
Syracuse +3 over FSU (outright win)
Buffalo -3 over Eastern Michigan (win)
G Tech -3 1/2 over Pitt (facepalm)
Boise-OK State Over 66 1/2 (facepalm cuz the Boise kicker sucks and OSU can't punch it in with 3 chances from the 4)
LSU +10 over Auburn (outright win)
Vandy +14 over ND (winner)
Tennessee -32 1/2 over UTEP (big spreads with bad teams not a good idea)

5-3 on the day

NFL tomorrow:

Chiefs +5
Saints -10
Rams -13
49ers -6
Eagles -3
ML Parlay Saints, Chiefs, 49ers, Broncos
ML Chiefs
Skins-Colts Under 48

Good luck everybody!!

My hottest (longest) shot of the day was this parlay:

UTEP +33.5 vs. Tenn (W)
PSU -36 vs. Kent (W)
Cuse +3 vs. FSU (W)
FSU/Cuse o66 (L)
UGA vs MidTenn -35 (W)
Army -7 vs Hawaii (P)
Temple/Maryland u56 (W)

That would have paid 100:1...and against all of my judgment I picked the over in the FSU/Cuse game...I got suckered by the populace on that one...I should have just left it alone at Cuse +3...and swapped in OU/ISU over (which I put in a different parlay instead) and I would have won whatever going 7-0-1 would have paid...I'd guess like 60:1 or so...oh well, easy to pick the games after they're over...

Oregon State coming back to win, Missouri holding on to beat Purdue, ASU/SDSU going over 48 and no one scoring another point in Bama/Ole Miss would be helpful towards funding my NFL losses tomorrow...

I can't believe Oakland blew that lead...that cost me hundreds on an all-underdog parlay...

Colts ml
KC ml
Mia ml
Oak ml

Oakland has it in the bag...and then Jon Gruden's dadhole falls out...what a donkey...

Still a plus day...but could have been a big plus...

Parlay: GB, NO, LAC, LAR paid
GB and o44.5 paid
Chris Thompson o60.5 total yards paid
Chris Thompson o4 receptions paid
Josh Doctson o37.5 yds missed (he got 37...how about a measurement, huh?)
LAC/Buf o42 paid
Mia/NYJ adj line of u36.5 paid

My 8-leg parlay missed, by two...
NO -9.5 (lol)
Mia +3
Hou ml
LAC ml
SF ml
LAR ml
Phi/TB o45
NE/Jax o44

I mistyped on my original message -- I had the Rams ML in that parlay, not the Chiefs. Chiefs would have made that one a lot more lucrative than +155. I wanted to dropkick the Niners and their porous defense, giving up that 30-17 cushion to crush the spread. But just after they yakked that, Denver goes down the field to save the ML parlay. Another 5-3 day in the books for a plus weekend, which I'll take every time.

If you don't mind me asking, ballpark me what some of you guys normally bet? Mikey seems like he's ballin and doesn't mess around. I like to make it worthwhile to watch games so I go for a big win, then I talk to some of my friends when they bet on games and it's $20 here, $25 there. And I'm like, "uhh, yeah I too have that kind of restraint as well. I def just play for fun and don't risk massive losses because I don't have a gambling problem." :shifty eyes:

About $20 per wager or so. I am usually wagering three bets at a time.

That said, I want to get serious about it instead of just winging it. But that starts to sound like work and the ROI drops to the point I never do it.

I have never cashed out, always play till I am empty. Like I said, not serious.

It really depends for me...I used to try to nickle and dime the **** out of the world with parlays...$3, fives and dimes...

Then I went to Vegas and got swept up in it...and was like "if I'm willing to do this for $X...why can't do that for $X..."

I'm still a complete nobody...I'm not throwing down more than $500 on any one thing...because I don't do any research, I don't even really understand it...I just go by feel and see what happens...I'm to the point where I need to be coaxed into watching non-Indianapolis games...so this is it...

Player props seem like a good place to make money, as that's less explored and less predictable than game outcomes...whatever Vegas does for that is just incredible...

Though, I'm getting curious as to what is happening...this is now beyond "heater" territory...let's ignore the funny money in my account right now...I have cashed out $4100 in the past three weeks...at that pace, that's $70,000 a year take home...that's a little silly...and way too tempting for someone of my questionable moral code...

To use late 80's, early 90's college basketball parlance, I'm very much a Princeton offense rather than a Loyola Marymount offense. I keep it around $20-25 but I do keep a running season toteboard in each sport I play and when I reach a certain level in the black, I increase the base wager. I was so good with hockey at the end of the regular season that I was betting $110 parlays and pulling my hair out as one of the games went to a shootout.

Im def in the minus since I started using the offshore sports bet sites about a year ago, but I recently kept winning and built my account up to 2K, still ended up playing it down like an idiot.

Sidebar: A friend of mine from highschool got in big when the online poker went huge. He got into to the point it was his profession. He was on some of those ESPN tournaments they'd show. He got a few sponsors and it was his job basically to travel and enter tournaments.

Yesterday I ran into his dad at the bar during the steeler game. He says "you hear what happened to him?" On a $3 Draft Kings entry he won 200K. $200,000!! I'm just shaking my head thinking of course, cuz he needs more money. Then the guy jokingly says "So he's back in the game ." Then explains to me his son is now living at home with him, has the IRS on his ass, and doesnt even own a car. So now I don't feel so bad about blowing $2000 in winnings instead of just cashing out.

I'll do about $5-20 for most bets. I'll occasionally go bigger but I'm very conservative

Since I'm hopping on a Transatlantic flight tonite, gotta get all the picks in at once and as a result, a small slate for college today:

Friday:
UCF -13 1/2 (Win)
Wazzu +4 1/2 (Win)

Saturday:
Vandy +2
Stanford -2 1/2
(liked Wake, Purdue, and Pitt but I needed a 1/2 point more in my favor to pull the trigger)

Sunday:
Packers -3
Dolphins -3
Falcons -3
Pats -7
Colts/Eagles U 46 1/2
Broncos/Ravens U 45 1/2
ML Parlay Eagles, Ravens, Chiefs, Pats, Rams
