aTm at + 18.5 seems worth a $5 bet.

Bama by 19. Impressive.

In that most of the money probably went to Bama covering, the sports books probably took a loss.

Today's Plays:

aTm +18 1/2...loser (by a half frickin point)
WVU over...not even close
Navy -1....yayyyyy
Arkansas +10 1/2...getting hammered
Cubs +122 money line
Ole Miss +8
Arizona State +7 1/2

Games I wanted to take but was too weak-minded to do it:
Cal +2 1/2 last nite
Utah +7 (though, it was +4 by gametime)
K State +2 (they had been favored and I got scared away by the line switch, just like with Cal last nite)

The lesson as always -- scared money don't make money.

My college picks are really scattered and I lack confidence with them...I shouldn't have even bet...

NCAA:
OKSt -23.5 over Kansas win
Texas -2 over KSU (dumb, just hoping KSU QB is more hurt than it appears) loss
NC -11 over UVA win
Auburn over Arkansas win
Oregon St/Washington over 54 win
WSU/Az St over 64 win

NHL (7 game parlay, pays like 81:1)
Mtl over Bos win
Wsh over NYR loss
SJ 1-5 over Det loss
TB over Ott win
TB/Ott over 5.5 loss
Dal over CBJ loss
Van/LA over 5 win
First big oinker on NHL this season really...couldn't really do much worse than that...

I did hedge the CFB bet with every combination of 5 out of 6 of those same bets as well, so the day will be a net positive overall...which will then become a neutral weekend when I pretend to know how to bet on the NFL in a few hours...

Which is why I've stopped betting NFL games this year. I'm in a pick-5 season-long contest and I'm currently 8-23 on the season and in dead last among 38 participants.

Hit on this 5-game "easy" parlay...

Ind +4 over Ten
Min/Phi under 47 (alt total)
NO +14.5 vs. KC (alt spread)
Cle +17.5 vs Cin (alt spread)
NE over Pit

Only paid ~5:1 but it hit, so I'll take it...

is it just me or does it seem like the games hit the under at a higher rate than the over in primetime games thsi year?

Its really backwards. More scoring than usual in tnf games and lower scoring real primetime games.

I do not have that kind of time. Good luck.

I don't care how you live you're life and this isn't a condemnation or anything: I can't bet that much because I can't keep track of what I need. With too many concurrent bets it gets lost in the sauce.

I agree. I hate doing multiple anythings with sports...but there's so many combos with bad goalies tonight (Malcolm Subban, Justin Peters, Anders Nilsson, James Reimer, Brian Elliott, Carter Hutton, etc.) it was tough to pass them up but I wanted to give myself a good shot of winning at least one of them. Any win pays for any of the rest if I'm not mistaken...

4 goals in 10 minutes by Minnesota (all glove side I'm sure) is making the Wild bets look good so far...

Khudobin got hurt in practice. They brought back a retread because Subban has always been bad at goaltending...there are three people on this board that have a better glove hand...

"retread"

Eyes playing tricks. You had already planted the seed by bringing up Subban.
