Yeah, that's...not great. A coach who has never coached before...a goalie who has never played before...against a team with EP40 and Brock Boeser...? How does that not get to 4-3?

Threw $30 on the Pens to win the cup
Not a huge bet but the odds to me are a bit staggering. +2200 is insulting

Wondering if any of you fellow degenerates have seen this trend this season. The chart is thru games of Tuesday but one ridiculous trend is that when the top 6 teams on the list play against each other, the first period over is 60-6 -- that's 91%.

I listen to these guys all the time and the morning show crew has been just hammering this for weeks. I just now caught up to the trend, though the Lightning f'd me last night. Only problem is that the juice is really high on some as Vegas has also caught up to the ruse. But I guess juice means nothing if it keeps winning.

Collected on some pre-season prop bets that had disappeared from my radar which was a nice triple digit number out of nowhere...including 11:1 on a Kucherov Art Ross. Very profitable hockey season for me so far. I put the $500 in profit I made a loosely-model-based betting scheme I employed for the last several weeks of the season and put it all on the Lightning (-325) to win the series vs CBJ.
Unrelated, a friend of mine runs a confidence pool for hockey (you give confidence points based on how sure you are of the series...i.e. TB in 5 (8 pts), Nsh in 4 (7 pts)...Wpg in 7 (1 pt))...$20 buy-in, up to 2 entries each. 70%/20/10 split for the top 3 in points at the end. Last year we had 70 entries or so. If anyone is interested, I can shoot some more details to you...

Was at Rivers and checked out the sports gambling.
What would I have won if I put 20 bucks on the Canes at +380?
Keep in mind, these numbers mean absolutely nothing to me

Decimal odds are better.

I was not able to find that. The kiosk was not very new-user friendly.

Oh, no doubt. Was just making a general statement on the condition of American sports betting outlets. They use those odds specifically because they are less informative.

That would have paid almost 4:1. $76 plus your $20 bet.Was at Rivers and checked out the sports gambling.

Yeah, those are absurd odds...I'm not sure if it was a live bet with the Isles leading or what, but that's good value in a one-goal or tied game regardless...

Impossible. The odds are just not that slanted for any NHL game, much less a close playoff series. Like even in that March game or whenever it was with Ottawa and Tampa, that was those type of odds (which are absurd).
Perhaps you were looking at reverse puck line (Car -1.5...meaning that Carolina has to win by 2...I could see that being a road dog), but there's no chance Carolina moneyline was 4:1 like that...

Might have misread it. Again, convoluted kiosk for someone who knows absolutely nothing about sports betting.
I really just wanted to find an over/under bet or two to make but had no idea how to find that on the thing.

Traditional order for hockey betting is: puck line, money line, over/under

Bad beat -- having the Derby winner across the board until he got DQ'd
Worse beat -- having the exacta with a 65-1 in the place spot before the winner got DQ'd (not me, but one of my friends)

Anyone do any of the legal PA sports betting platforms? Rivers has one.
My presumption is that their take is so high it cuts into the margin enough to make me still want to use an offshore book. Would be interested to hear the impression of anyone that actually has tried it.

Sugartits or whatever the casino is near me has an app now...I'm being a good boy and not downloading it until football season, so that I don't spend all my work day betting first five innings for baseball...

Downloaded two days ago. Didn't remember my pin. There is no way to get my pin without at least calling the casino (which I did and left a voicemail...budget) or going to it...but I am working on it...
