Toyed around with the idea of sitting Beckham since Carolina has pretty much shut down every big name receiver. Then I'm napping on the couch with espns fantasy show on and hear them keep preaching, its the playoffs, he's OBJ, don't get cute. Also subbed in Forte for Fitz at about 12:50 because I already had Floyd and D. Johnson and wasn't comfortable going with 3 Cards.

Also, is Baltimore ready to make Kamar Aiken their #1 no matter what? Absolute nothing when Steve Smith plays and when he's been out he's been nothing but reliable. He's good for at least 5/60 each time.

Lost this week to the #4 seed (I am the 1 seed) while the 2 seed got to beat a bad 6 seed team since our league doesn't care about seeding apparently.

Bullshit.

Almost didnt bother to set my lineup in my big money league just so I wouldn't start thinking like this, but I couldn't help myself. Missed out on playoffs by losing last game of the reg season because I didnt start russell wilson, and I would have destroyed both teams I would have played in the first 2 rounds. Was 2-6 with a crap team and would have pulled off 7 wins in a row to the championship game. :(

Out of the playoffs, but my team scored 98.50 points without my QB playing yet (Stafford has MNF). That would be good enough to beat everyone who is in the playoff bracket.

Goddamnit.

Ended the week with 120.06 points.

I would've beaten all but the 2 seed in the championship bracket.

2 championship games out of 3. Can't complain. But would have beaten both teams I would play in the other league had I got in. Would have been nice.

Its funny because after the draft in my main league I looked at my sheet and thought, Why did I draft so many godamn Seahawks? And down the stretch their offense was rolling and almost put me thru to the finals.

How much can you win?

I'm comfortably in a championship game and will win either $100 if I lose or $450 if I win ($50 buy in)

I can't even remember the payouts but their just $25 buy ins so not huge money.

I'm also in a scoring only/no bench league teamed up with a friend cuz its so expensive. $40 buy in, then 10 bucks a week and $5 a move. All that money goes in the pot. Its not head to head just total scores each week and total scores for division standings. Pay outs $100 each week to the winner, $40 to second highest score.

Last year didnt even place second all damn year, but thanks to Romo and Dez going nuts we finished top score 4 out of the last 5 weeks, the other finished 2nd. That was good to win us our division, and the overall league. Ended up splitting over $1200 just from the final 5 weeks of the year.

Made it to championship game of one league and now I'm in the same spot I always am with playoffs - trying not to overthink matchups, etc and get myself in trouble. So now I sit here with the dilemma of choosing between Forte, Deangelo, Fitz, Demaryius Thomas, and the wildcard Desean Jackson (at Eagles no less) for 3 spots in a PPR.

In other news, want to get the opinion of those who play - a league that has matchups each week in which everyone plays each other once (14 teams) uses points and not head-to-head as tiebreakers for regular season money and playoff matchups. Thoughts?

Deangelo, Forte and Thomas..I think?

Deangelo and Forte have the best floors. Fitz's probably has the best floor of those receivers, but limited ceiling with the Cardinals in a matchup with the offensively challenged Rams. I'd consider Jackson though, the Den/Cin game could be a low scoring defensive game.

I've been in a 14 team league for about 7 years now. We switched to the format of playing everybody one time (13 regular season games) with 3 playoff rounds about 4 seasons ago. First tiebreaker for playoffs and any seeding is overall points. I love the format.

So what's the point of having matchups in the regular season if in the end game, those matchups have no meaning? I'm trying to find someone from outside of my league to convince me why points as the tiebreaker is the best way to go. If it were an unbalanced schedule, I'd totally agree with points.

Because byes or injuries can make a greater impact in a one game match-up, we decided that the team who performed better as a whole over the course of the season should be rewarded if there is a tie. We thought that for football where you get one game a week to get it right, points were a better tiebreaker over a 13 week season than one of those head-to-head games.

We thought head to head made things more interesting (it does and it's not even close) than going all points. It was just our way of rewarding the "better" team if records ended in a tie.

Once it's playoffs though, tough luck. You got to win your H2H match.

I would be behind a straight up points league with no playoff set up like...epl for example. That makes a lot of sense for fantasy purposes.

We've toyed with the idea. Our baseball is straight points from first pitch in April to last out in October.

We kept the head to head because it makes things more interesting to be playing people week to week rather than setting roster and going. I would agree that straight up points would be the best but not as fun.

A no matchups league would be boring as hell. No trash talk, no real meaning. But what do you tell the person who finishes 5-8 but is the 3rd-highest scorer in the league? 'Tough crap buddy, you just had an unlucky schedule'? If you're going to use matchups as a way to decide a playoff lineup but points as tiebreakers, it seems too opposite to me.

It was a bad draft. Is that not the league where you said that you got lacy and leveon off waivers a couple years ago? Youre playing against people whose football knowledge mirrors your height reaching the finals doesnt mean much.
