Carr, Bortles, Foles, Smith

Carr was pretty good last year and should have the best weapons of the four this year. Foles is the best QB but from a fantasy perspective, he has no one to throw to

In terms of talent (which is how I draft for fantasy almost always...talent will beat opportunity almost every time), Foles is clearly third. He has no one to throw to and he is also about as good as Mike Glennon. Which is to say, a weak starter in his prime...

I keep thinking that maybe LITT meant Alex Smith instead of Geno...

He might have, but that's a different angle. Then I would think it's a one-year league and this is like his 2nd or 3rd QB or maybe a 2QB league...in which case I no longer would want to answer because 2QB leagues are stupid...

In my 20 team league, I ended up getting 1st overall pick after our commish did a random generator to get one team near the bottom (because they might not be on time for it). Which is nice, but also means I won't pick again until 40.

Is the consensus #1 pick Leveon Bell?

Id take bell. Are you allowed to trade down?

wait, why take Bell? You're going to miss two games production. I would take Charles or AD

In regards to trades, I'd doubt it.

And 2 weeks isn't really much. It's a 20 team league. Scoring is going to be spread fairly thin. And the scoring is weighted towards RBs and WRs (running and receiving TDs are worth 6. Passes are only worth 4). Bell is going to get me mega points. I feel confident that there are enough good options out there to fill in for 2 weeks.

That logic makes sense for a peyton manning fan, im more interested in the team I have in the playoffs rather than the one i have in weeks 1 and 2. Handcuff him with deangelo in the mid rounds and youre fine.

Bell is the best back in the league and while he had a lot of touches last year, a lot of them werent between the tackles runs. He should be great.

That's a good thought RE: Deangelo Williams.

However, I think if people realize I'm the one who has first pick, they would take him earlier than they should to spite me.

If they do, theyre hurting themselves for a player that isnt going to help much. Just enjoy the advantage you gain over that person for wasting a pick.

Barring injury, you think Charles is outscoring Bell overall? You're crazy.

Peterson is perfectly reasonable at #1 overall but lol Jamaal Charles at that spot

Am I the only one that thinks Bell was way overused last year and that's why he got hurt. You can't touch the ball 30 times a game and stay healthy. I don't think Bell's output is near sustainable. Charles is pretty consistent and comes with a Kniles Davis handcuff that remains a top 10 back if Charles goes down. You can't say the same about DeAngelo.

If that's your concern playing a 14 game schedule (13 for fantasy purposes) should only alleviate that aspect.

Jamaal Charles over bell is nuts IMO.

Also if I recall correctly, his injury was just a bad plant/hit. It's not like his production collapsed or he had injuries indicative of overuse -- repeated muscle strains, stress fractures, etc.

I just feel like Bell will have some regression this next year. He was really really good last year and other than BRoeth and Brown, the Steelers offense isn't that skilled. I think getting two more weeks of production from Charles is more worth it.

also, for the record, if you use ESPN but hate their ranking system like me, I found this Chrome extension that adds in FantasyPros rankings: https://www.reddit.com/r/fantasyfootbal ... ojections/

looks pretty good so far

Not just 13, but Bell is missing the first two weeks, so that's 2 weeks of rest for him (unless the 13 weeks was taking that into account).

having games off doesn't mean much if its at the beginning of the season. 95% of players are healthy at the beginning of the year.

Rest would mean a lot more near week 10 when everyone is banged up in some way

If you need a reason not to join a 20 team league:

QB: Stafford, Fitzpatrick
RB: Bell, Ellington, Deangelo Williams
WR: Manny Sanders, Boldin, Terrance Williams
Flex: Fleener, Clay
K: Crosby
D/ST: Baltimore

So agonizing waiting 40 picks and watching everyone you want get picked.

Right, I was saying bell is only playing 14 games this season (leaving out week 17 since fantasy is over by then).
