Right, and to not get bad RBs, figure out guys who aren't that good...Justin Forsett, CJ Anderson, Crowell, Yeldon (who I drafted in LGP to trade and couldn't even get a deal done)...they're all bad. Don't draft them. Easy.

Right, Randle another great example. Draft talent over circumstance wherever possible...

I haven't done many auction leagues but I think the strategies would be vastly different when you can hand select the players you want. My WR-WR/Gronk strategy really only applies if you're sitting in the backhalf of a snake draft. Just looking to next year..I'd much rather build my team around 2 of the top 5 receivers or 1 of the big 3 and and Gronk then say, Shady McCoy who gets evaluated for a concussion every other week and a 31 year old Matt Forte playing for the Saints.

If youre in a league where gronk goes in the third, it shouldnt matter what strategy you use. Did antonio brown go mid second?

WR-WR/Gronk. So receiver first round then another one or Gronk at the beginning of the second.

And Brown did technically go in the 4th I think since he was a keeper.

In my dynasty league, I find it relatively easy to spot good young WRs. In one year leagues, it's a little tougher, but if you're watching and identifying the burgeoning talent instead of going some list some bozo hocked up then you'll be fine. Sure, you end up with a Ramses Barden or Limas Sweet every once in a while...but I hit pretty often, I have Brandin Cooks, OBJ, Mike Evans (who I don't like really), Hilton, Lockett and more for under $10. I nabbed young Brandon Marshall for nothing, young Vincent Jackson for nothing...Stefon Diggs was a draft pick of mine after I saw him in the preseason...Edelman years ago for $1...

And that's the guys I got...I was all over Amari Cooper of course but he went out of my price range. Just gotta use your face, there's a distinct advantage in fantasy sports for those who watch and vaguely know what talent looks like. I'm far from an NFL scout, but I know what the stars look like when they play, if I see a young kid that looks like Star Player X, I'm gonna draft him...
Ita a hell of a lot harder in one year leagues.

I picked up Diggs after the Vikes-Broncos game, he had two great games and is now not worthy of a roster spot

Of course, in a dynasty league Diggs is gonna be huge. I think he's a top 10 route runner already in the league. But with Bridgewater not throwing the ball farther than 5 yards, he's useless in one year leagues.

Are you trying to trigger me with this "skilled players = more fantasy value added" post?

One more thing: **** you, CJ is great. Peyton killed his value because the defense stacked the box on every play

He averaged 3.58 YPC under Peyton and 6.29 under Brock (before he got hurt yesterday)

That's pretty significant

Going in to last nights game with the playoffs on the line, and a 25 point lead against Steelers D, Dez, and Witten. Its looking like I would have won had the Steelers D/ST put on just a good day. Instead they blew up for 30. My fault for not riding a red hot Russell Wilson, I guess. Theres always next year. :(

Well missed the playoffs in my big money league because the tie breaker was H2H in which the team that got in and I played one game in week 4. That's a terrible tie breaker. Especially when my division record was better than his. I'm super salty, a game in week 4 shouldn't decide that especially when we only played once.

If benj is out... parker or ginn junior? Ginn junior is higher risk higher reward

Both players are bad. I would check the waiver wire personally. I won't answer the question as posed. :slug:

My team is real bad. Finishing 4th was laughable. Nobody worthwhile on waivers

so **** frustrating. a team I'm playing against has Michael Floyd...and naturally, Floyd has the most non-QB points from last night.

I dont have romo, but im confident that if he hadnt been hurt, i would have made the playoffs. Bryant obviously would have been better dow. The stretch and dmc would have been putting up elite numbers with any semblence of a passing game.

I'm the unlucky 10-3 team that didn't get a bye (three-way tie). Really tough RB2/flex calls today.

Non-ppr

Hill vs Pit
Gio vs Pit
Mathews vs Buffalo
White @ Hou
Crabtree @ den
Watson @ TB
Wheaton @ cin

Crabtree's matchup basically rules him out.
The Cincinnati call is awful. I see this game being way more of a shoot out than last game. Could favor Gio. But hills the hotter hand.
Mathews would be the flex play if not for injury uncertainty. Murray's role is being reduced, and Mathews has been great, but first game back from two missed due to concussion.
White has a highly volatile workload. Opponent has Brady, so that could help or hurt.
Watson seems good for 8-10 targets from Brees, but meh to 2 TEs.

Any words of wisdom?

I'm down 24-10:
Rodgers/miller/Cincinnati/Robinson/Marshall/Watkins/Walker/flex/Boswell/cards D
Brady/Stewart/D Johnson/Hurns/Parker/Hartline/Barnidge/West/catanzaro/Rams D

Do any of you guys have an in-game injury protocol (such as being able to sub out a player who injured in the first quarter or something)?

I'm thinking about instituting something next season that'll handle this.
