I thought we had this issue come up before but I don't recall what the resolution was.

Sainz is out this week, replaced by Manbearpig. Do Sainz owners score points on the seat, or Sainz himself?

IIRC the points go to the original seat owner.

Like I had Russell when he was with Williams and filled in for Hamilton in a Mercedes one race. Hamilton got the points.

You are selecting by driver. If a driver switches teams, your points earned will follow that driver to the new team. If a driver is replaced or misses races due to injury, you will not earn points for that driver's replacement.

Yeah, when I admin'd a league we did it by seat. I think it was the year Gasly and Albon got shifted around and suddenly someone thought they were getting awesome value out of it.

I did it by seat because F1 drivers are soft, dainty men who are sidelined by a light breeze and it is easier to do the scoring that way.

As the dictator in charge, I was thinking of imposing a "you can't pick anyone from Red Bull" restriction for this season, but I decided not to. I'm now thinking that I really should have done that.
