So are we going to take Kicksave up on his offer?

As you may/may not know Sille is my brother - i've been reaching out to him for the past month or so on a laundry list of things i need from him, so not just this league, and he's been a complete flake.

It's absurd he couldn't find 5 minutes to do contracts for this after I asked him 20 times. I'm totally on board with letting Kicksave proxy his team for the rest of the season then hopefully finding a replacement next season.

I'll draft up reasonable contracts for his players and you guys can modify as you see fit.

Beerman and I were talking about baseball yesterday and he brought this up which I thought was a really good idea. Most leagues have just the save category such as this league. One league he's in and one I use to manage had both saves and holds. He said a better stat would be the "save+hold" stat which would allow the use of any relief pitcher instead of just focusing on closers. This way you don't ignore awesome relievers but you also don't give them a separate category where you need to worry about getting holds. You could choose to get save or holds or a little of each. Thoughts?

If we do something like that, institute it several years out so that people have been investing in closers like myself arent suddenly put at a disadvantage. It would be like eliminating Home runs for total bases or something.

I'd agree. I think 2 years out at a minimum. That's a very drastic change because of closer scarcity.

I've never done another baseball roto league. Is this league especially tough to make up ground, and if so, what do you think makes it that way? I could see the flagging participation we seem to see each year being a big factor in that.
