Yeah, the quarter tournaments are fun to just mess around with different lineups to get a feel for what works (not that I am any good at daily). They're also small enough that you tend to not have a bunch of the perfect lineups.

I think I'm going to try to do a couple 10-man games this week with the top 3 spots paying where I find a roster that is something in between a conservative cash game roster and the aggressive tournament roster.

Stefon Diggs nine catches and 182 yards with a touchdown also played a key role in securing Al Zeidenfeld first place in DraftKings’ biggest contest of the weekend, the NFL $5M Fantasy Football Millionaire. That’s a $1 million prize, even before his other Week 2 entries.

Zeidenfeld is also a regular DFS contributor to ESPN and, in his words, a “sponsored professional Daily Fantasy Sports player at DraftKings.com. On air personality and content provider for DraftKingsTV and Brand Ambassador/endorser.” It’s at least curious that the winner of DraftKings’ flagship contest is someone paid to give advice to his ostensible competitors, but a Draftkings contractor raking in a big prize is an unwelcome callback to last year’s controversies.

Huh. I didn't really buy any of the "this smells bad" vibe the deadspin article was trying to put off.

I think the rub is that he's an advice columnist that won outright. It gives the appearance of giving bad/incomplete advice to dilute the field, which is amplified by the fact he's paid by the company.

This is different than using internal trend data to see who the bulk of the field picked.

If that was the rub, then I really don't get it. He entered 150 lineups in that contest. That should show you how useless single daily fantasy advice columns are.

DFS is incredibly dumb (to me), I'm just passing along the drama. :)

Really liking a Tannehill + Parker stack as a tournament gamble this week.

Who is even playing QB for the Browns this week? The dolphins aren't good, but they might just crush Cleveland this week.

Swapped out Tannehill for Palmer to play it safer... 400/25000 with Palmer as my QB. Fuuuuuuu

Only positive for me was that I was finally able to spot a cheap productive QB play with Prescott, if I had just not swapped out Ty Hilton and Fleener for Amari Cooper and Dwayne Allen after seeing some Rotoworld blurb about the Chargers being very strong at corner and weak up the middle.

Yeah, I thought Hilton was a terrible play. Verrett has shut everyone down this year. I saw he was injured for part of the game, so that may have had something to do with Hilton's day.

Worst part about that team I mentioned, I swapped Tannehill and Zach Miller for Palmer and Hunter Henry at about 12:15. Would've finished at 335 if I hadn't made that change.

Grabbed my spot in the $1 single entry games on both FD and DK this morning. Strange week. Not many guys I really wanted to pay up for. I ended up having very similar rosters on both sites. Cousins is probably going to be widely owned, but he seems like a really nice play this week. I ended up paying up for Cam on DK.

I have to build my bankroll so I'm just doing whats always worked for me, lots of $1 5 person games.

There's a lot of RB's I like this week. Hill Gordon and Blount all looked good. I went with Cousins at QB, seems like an easy call. Which WR do you like? I have Robinson, Benjamin and Hilton now...but I want to change that.

Completely agree on Benjamin, regardless of which you meant, because I have both in my lineups. I also took Baldwin, who was more or less the guy I liked best at the money I had left. I was torn between him and Maclin.

At RB I wanted to go with Gordon, but I'm not sure I'm sold on him just yet. The opportunity seems there, but I just feel hesitant about him. I went with Bell and Ware for now. If Charles looks like he'll play a lot, I'll revisit that. I found it hard to not use Bell this week.

Yeah. that's a great matchup for Rivers. If NO can make that a shoot out, that could be a great play.

Kelvin Benjamin. I can't figure out what's going on with the SD receiving group.

Bell is probably the best floor for anyone, I saw something about them lining him up as WR.

This is what I have (non tourny lineup)

Carr
Howard, Crowell, West
Edelman, Brown, Enunwa
Ertz
Vikings

I'm not sold on that RB group, and I'm not even sure if it's worth paying for Brown this week, but I couldn't see any of the other expensive WR's as good plays. Maybe Nelson. Carr seems obvious, especially with questions at RB now. And Edelman was obvious too, he wont be this cheap again with Brady back.

Who would've thought Edelman would be the guy holding me back. Need about 15 points from Sterling Shepard-my flex-to be safe to win money. In striking distance of a nice return if Shepard goes off.

7-2 so far in hockey this year in terms of finishing in the money. Rode my early-season stud Johnny Marchessault to 30/7100 last night.
