I honestly just don't understand that comment...Wait, didn't Fisher get a deal that's almost right on par with what he would have got if he only took two years...?

I don't understand it either. Oshie would definitely be top 6 here. Didn't the Blues have interest in Harrington before dealing for Bortuzzo? Not sure what they'd want with Sutter either if that's a name being thrown around. They're pretty loaded at center. Yeah. The Pens have young defensive depth...

“Maybe Pittsburgh. I think that there’s a strong appetite inside the Penguins’ organization to just change things up a little bit. And by a little bit, it could be a pretty significant trade. I keep hearing rumblings that – we know Rutherford is looking for a top-6 forward. We know that. Well, is T...

Darren Dreger seems fairly certain the Pens and Blues are going to pull off a significant deal, one that will shake up both clubs. This is the guy who also reported Malkin wants out. Take it with a grain of salt. I could be wrong here, but I don't recall Dregger getting in on the Malkin wanting out...

The idea of having a pure sniper in Kessell on Crosby's wing makes me salivate with excitement. Then I step back and think of the reality, and while there's one real thick layer of great, there are a bunch of layers of bad to real bad. 1. Cap hit: His $8 million per year cap hit extends for another...

Kennedy would need to be a league minimum type contract, so something like Comeau did last year. If he wants 7 digits he can get it elsewhere. Frankly, if we are signing the two Russians, then there is no place on the team for him.
BEER
Another great trip to House of 1000 Beers. I didn't look at bottles (didn't want to be tempted). Hit the taps, a few full size a few 5oz'ers. Plus, their burger was AMAZING!!! great flavor.

The Norris trophy should never go to a Dman that a majority of top line forwards can skate around like he was not there. The Year Mike Green was nominated was the year that I stopped caring.

It's an honor that I'm the first to ask just what the hell you're talking about, Jim? 3 on 3 is actual game play. Penalty shots, artificial 5 on 3's, players being prohibited from using certain equipment, not in the same realm... It is game play that never happens. The other suggestions are t...

Make it 5-on-3 with the home team getting the 5. 5-on-3 is much more game realistic than 3-on-3. I bet a lot more games that go beyond regulation will end during OT then.
Make the goalies play OT without a stick. That also happens more than 3-on-3.

4-on-4 is borderline. 3-on-3 is not NHL hockey.
However, I am against overtime in regular season anyway...

I find it odd that people are against the shootout because it is not realistic to normal game play... but they are fine with 3-on-3. How often do you have 3-on-3 in a game? About as often as a penalty shot? hmmm... Add in the number of breakaways and 3-on-3 is very rare compared to shoot-out like si...

Only if by "balance" you mean completely lopsided to one side...The presence of Sith knocks the Force out of balance.I guess balance means something different in that world.
Balance should mean equal, not completely devoid of the opposing side.

I was looking at it more as if this guy could be a Letang replacement in 4 years... it is tough to give him up for a borderline top 6 or someone that barely belongs in top 6 like a few of the names that have been discussed lately.

Maybe it's because we don't have a hate boner for him? And maybe it's because he offers something to the lineup that few can replace? That statement is only accurate when you include, when he is healthy. It's funny because pens fans say they don't want a guy who has concussion problems, yet don't c...

We only play 5 playoff games a year anyway...I think they are trying to do a bit of culture change there as well. Not saying Oshie is a bad apple, but his playoff performances are bad apples.
