I just got back from a local grocery store and saw a couple employees with those clear plastic shields that fit on the head and cover the entire face but seal nowhere. Do these things do any good at all? To me they seem fairly useless.

I don’t think anyone here is advocating for cloth masks for high risk situations. The people that need to be in high risk situations obviously should have better protection for themselves. For everyday situations, all the experts are saying to wear a mask and a cloth mask is better than nothing. So...
