I am not a native speaker so you can discard this, but I would say that I have a deadline approaching. So "he is on a deadline" seems 1000 times better than on deadline.

I wonder how many cups Crosby would have had with a Quenniville, Julien, Sutter or Trotz instead of Bylsma. Of course, he won 2009 (had a decent 2011 considering injuries) and it led to Sullivan being hired to win 2016 and 17. I am not demanding a world class coach, but meow could have taken the 201...

I would like to bring Kessel back if all of these things are mostly fulfilled/satsified
1 - He takes close to league minimum
2 - He still has a high top speed
3 - He is aware that he can be a healthy scratch once in a while
These three things would make him as useful as a Heinen, I belive.

Kasperi Kapanen re-signed - 2 year $3.2M
Hmm.. I like that we resigned Kapanen from an asset point of view, but I am not a fan of this contract. Two years at 3.2 and then he is a UFA... I think that could actually reduce his trade value. We probably need to show case him to sell him to someone. Otherwise, he would just be a throw-in in a t...

Petry, Poehling to the Pens for Matheson and a pick
I would have been all over this trade before last season. Sullivan used Matheson really well, but perhaps it will be an improvement for Sullivan to not service Matheson's needs.

I agree with Shyster. I work at a university and have had the option to WFH. Generally, I prefer to take my bicycle 10 minutes to my office and work there. I have too many distractions at home, and at the university I have some lunch buddies.

Bringing back the same team that dominated the first round at a historic level (scoring chances for/against, medium/high danger shots for/against) against a team that got two games shy of the Final isn't a negative...sure, it could be...but the process: Hextall's, Sullivan's isn't currently broken....

It seems like we are bringing back the same team for another year. I am not sure that the team that got ejected in the first round can do it this year since the team is older. All signings are good in vacuums. Except maybe CDS. Jarry better stay healthy... We still have some cap room, I believe. Let...

The difference is age? Both of the players could still play decent after their contracts. Malkin has not played a full season in a while so the third year might get ugly. Not really sure why they won't do 3x$7 considering they've thrown 6 years at both Rust and Rakell.
