I bought this bookcase a couple years ago. Brand is "Concepts In Wood." I believe it's still veneered wood of some sort, but it's much sturdier and made of thicker materials of notably higher quality than all of the stuff I looked at from Ikea and local department stores and the like. I think they a...

There probably are alternative routes, but they're probably something like going out in a big loop through like Denver and Phoenix to get back to SoCal, and it would take like three days to get there.

The real divert option would be a bus. Which might get there faster than the train anyway.

Trump is basically "house poor." His wealth (the amount of which is subject to much debate, and has likely dropped precipitously given the current commercial-real-estate market) is mostly in the form of real estate, which is illiquid. Bonds on appeal are for the purpose of making sure that if the ap...

Whatever. Who actually enjoys driving manual in today’s traffic? Find a new hobby. You will all be shocked to hear that Shyster only buys and drives cars with manual transmissions. Just turn off comments. Nothing good comes from Facebook comments. Yeah, probably the most likely outcome. Neither of last week's cases involved Trump, but some of the first litigation about government officials blocking people on social media were suits that Trump was violating the 1A by blocking ...

I’ve seen you cry foul over 1st amendment violations more times here than anyone in my entire life combined. Most of which end up being nothing. Has Penn State cut that “big fat check” you predicted the proud boys would get? Haven’t seen anything about that yet. No lawsuit, no settlement, no nothin...

An interesting suit. Hermès apparently only sells Birkin Bags (I assume some sort of ridiculously expensive purse?) to customers who buy a lot of other Hermès stuff first. That's certainly not a unique thing in the luxury-goods world; for example, Ferrari basically reserves certain models for custom...

Shyster “I don’t like Trump” immediately responds with 27 polls from multiple different Twitter users. Its sort of like he’s actually a Trump supporter or something I was specifically responding to Morke's wish that Trump "just can’t go away fast enough." He won't be going away very fast if he gets...

But it’s echo chamber non-sense. It’s the only way he’ll change. What makes you believe the polls are wrong? Certainly, things can change between now and the election, but based on current polling, if the election were tomorrow, say, Trump would win handily. This is not something being reported by ...

Mrs. F. insists on putting vegetables in brownies. Spinach, zucchini.... stop it. Only one kind of plant belongs in a brownie.

Is that some sort of tactic where if the brownies have zucchini in them that makes them "healthy" and therefore she can more easily rationalize eating them?
