How do you miss that hook there? The guy lost his stick in Sutter's equipment for crying out loud.

The theory from the broadcast was that they were setup for wet qual and forgot to adjust it, but that seems insane. Yeah, I heard them say that but I'm not exactly buying it, unless it's some mass conspiracy by Red Bull in their fight against Renault to have a bad car and blame it on the engine sup...

So wait, did you guys know about that site before or after I posted it in the F1 thread 2 weeks ago? I think it's a hilarious concept. I agree about Raikkonen. Some drive from him. Appears this year that Ferrari has their **** together. Their car last year was oversteer-y and tail happy, but so far ...

General Fantasy Baseball Talk

Is Prince Fielder going to be a viable option this year?

Also I despise auto-drafts, but was happily surprised I was given Yoenis Cespedes a full 100 picks after he should have gone in a live draft.

Meow's Morning Meeting - 3-28-15 vs. ARI

If that hit was meaningless and senseless, so are 90% of other hits. Exceptions like yesterday shouldn't influence anything. That's the sort of thinking that gets us the ridiculous spectacle of no touch icing. Devil's advocate: Bortuzzo game 2 games for his hit to Jagr. At the time, the NHL said it...

I'm lucky if I trim every week and a half. It gets bad over that time, but I don't fully shave my face, because I'll look like I'm 12.

Anyone have any idea how this cap situation works with Letang out and needing to call up likely Harrington?
Probably not going to happen unless Letang is placed on LTIR

Just had Noire de Chambly. It looks like it would be dark, but it tastes like your typical Belgian/wit.

Ordered a Coronado Orange Wit next, mostly so I could make the Blues Brothers "Orange Whip" reference.

In recent weeks, even before the pruning machine was set on "autokill", I was thinking that maybe a new board or an invite-only section on LGP would surface to get away from the "loser crew"...interesting that it has grown so quickly...
This would be why I wouldn't post the link to here on there.

Yup, because the crux of the issue (money) still remains. The only way I can even think of it being feasible to get a "regular" person onto a ballot is if they latched on to a party and got money that way, but then you run into the problem of needing to more or less follow that party's views to get ...

what is an ilk squad?
Go back and read PR today. 95% of the posters still posting there are probably of the ilk.

AKA the people who only show up during/after a loss to sit there and complain, but never are around when the team is playing well.

Be a GM: Edmonton Oilers Edition

Not sure if you want specific moves or not, so I'm just going to go general for now, and also not really cover a lot since I'm just spitballing at this point. My first move would be to move Yakupov for a defenseman who could use a change of scenery, but fill into the lineup nicely. He hasn't really ...

I have GTA 5 and XBone, but haven't played it in a while. Destiny is and has been taking up a lot of my gaming time. Starting to get a little repetitive, but it's the first time in a long time that I've been able to play a game online with friends of mine that isn't CoD or Halo.

I'd say the problem RE:rich people in congress begins and ends with what it takes to get on a ballot and build a support group. You have to consider advertisements, payments to get yourself on the ballot (not sure if this is still a thing, but I recall it being so from a 10th grade US Govt. class), ...

"I think they're uncoachable. I think Babcock might be the only thing that can save the Pittsburgh Penguins." -- Rossi

We couldn't field a complete team because we had 3 players making something like $17 mil in cap space (off the top of my head, Hornqvist is at $3.5, Ehrhoff $4, Malkin $9.5. Could be off) unable to play because of injury, but also unable to be put on LTIR. There's almost nothing Botterill or any GM...

the injury thing isn't an excuse because we were the most injured team last year and almost lead the conference in points Isn't the typical "excuse" for always being at the top of the conference because we have Malkin or Crosby on our team? Sure, having at least one of them will win you games more ...

I like Spaling's game, and am not too concerned with his cap hit. We didn't have Winnik to start the year, so I'm not sure the relevance there. Spaling is good because he can move up and down the lineup, if needed, and not look entirely out of place. He's a solid two-way player who can contribute o...

If my post in the injury thread is any indication, the injuries do play a part (how big is up for debate) in how a team will perform. Sparknotes: The 3 teams that have won a Cup in the last 4/5 years (Chicago, LA x2, Boston) have been 27th, 29th, and 30th in that timeframe in terms of man-games lost...
