We're running out of movies for Saturday movie night. Most of them are animated kids/family movies, and we've seen damn near every major release over the last couple of years, with some older ones sprinkled in. I assume you've already run the gamut on your childhood favorites? I think we've hit our...

BFG has been on our list for a while after we listened to a bunch of Roald Dahl books on a road trip.

Ran to Home Depot after the storm was over and it looked like a bomb went off in Cranberry. Southbound 79 exit ramp covered in debris from multiple downed trees that looked like they just exploded. We were coming back from Wampum. My wife had to pull over with a bunch of other cars on the turnpike ...

Nice. We’re about halfway through season 3. I can see how they’d need another season to wrap things up

We refi’d in 2014 and the house appraised at $162k. 7 years later we have redone the kitchen and want cash out to do the bathrooms. Got the appraisal and… $165k. $3000 **** dollars more. His comp search indicates that he searched the wrong address in a terrible area for comps (Ave instead of St) so...

I don't blame people as much as I blame social media
COVID-19
We are having a hard time distinguishing between folks leaving from covid burnout and those leaving because of the vaccine mandate we imposed. We don’t exit interview most staff, so we can’t really determine who is leaving for what reason. I don't believe UPMC has a vaccine mandate, so 100% of thes...

Unbroken and Band of Brothers were both great books, but one reads like fiction and the other non-fiction. The stuff Zamperini went through with the Bird, let alone surviving on the boat. Sheesh
COVID-19
Sounds like what's going on here too, shaf. Tired of the acute care, ready for something less hectic. Some people, my wife included, enjoy being on the front lines and taking care of tough patients. But everybody has a breaking point. And hospitals have done nothing to thank their workers.
COVID-19
On a similar note: I know beds are an issue right now, but what about staff? Maybe LITT can chime in, but my wife is telling me all the UPMC hospitals around here are losing therapists left and right. They are tired of working their butts off and not being compensated for it. Wonder if that is commo...

https://twitter.com/Travon/status/1425524961029013512 Hospitals should start requiring proof of vaccination to enter. You didn't want to go get the vaccine? Oh, well, we don't want to waste resources on you. Sorry. Bye. I sympathize with that guy, except I had to turn it off halfway through bc it r...

That's great, as much as I enjoy driving, I think I'm looking forward to my kids chauffeuring me around in a couple years. Not me. I get nervous when my wife drives, and she's a good driver. Can't imagine what I'll be like when my kids start driving. Regarding the karma, I once saw an out of stater...

5% down means paying PMI, and paying PMI sucks. I have to pay insurance so that a bank doesn’t lose money if i default? Ballderdash. 5% down also means a higher monthly payment. There are plenty of situations where that isn’t a problem (especially if the cost to rent is greater than or equal to tha...

These dolts just need another toy to chase. Just fire the football coach, and all of a sudden masks in school will be nbd. They'll follow the bread crumbs like ducks in a pond.

Good on your buddy. Now the ball's in the company's court. If they come a-knockin', he's got a very sweet position for salary negotiation. If they don't, he's probably better off anyway.
