Politics And Current Events
The Ukrainians seem to prefer to risque their lives on the battlefield instead of being tortured, r***d and killed in Russian facilitites. Consequently, they are motivated and have so far show that they are capable fighters and tacticians. I think that the human cost for NATO could be almost zero, s...

I admit that I have drunk Ukrainian cool-aid, but I think that they are currently winning. Their goal has not been to recapture territory but to destroy the Russian military. It seems like Russia is low on active manpower, ammunition and armored vehicles. They will have to draft much more citizens t...

Analphabets without skills, that will cost the taxpayers much more money than they put into the system, not so much. It depends on how you want to categorize this. I am not very familiar with the immigration situation in Sweden, but in the U.S. those type of immigrants disproportionately go into wo...

As a libertarian, I am generally supportive of open borders and free migration. The problem is that open borders are incompatible with a welfare state. If immigrants have no ability to make financial demands upon me (whether directly or indirectly through taxation), then I don't care how many come ...

I know that it is expected to leave a tip, but I am not sure if I would dare to point it out when someone offers to pay. Especially not during an early date where you try to get to know each other. But I guess it is more ok to point it out if she is kind of new to the country and does not know the c...

You guys should really read "Bullshit Jobs" by David Graeber. It is a bit too long and repetitive, but has several interesting points. For example that people can make a shitload of money without doing much work, but still feel sad because their jobs are unnecessary or even detrimental to the society.

USA was the better team, but Sweden was luckier during the shoot-out.
This shows why it almost doesn't matter how you play during the group stage as long as you advance. Sweden played well during the group stage but still had to face the US team...

Exactemundo. This trade is a win even if Karlsson plays like his worst for Sharks...Not much to not like. Our four worst contracts and a 1st for a 100 point defenseman... that's the net of it.

The team is one year older but I think it is better the upcoming season since we have a better backup goalie. At worst, we have both CdS and Nedeljkovic to choose from, even though I believe that the latter will prove that he is the backup

I would also like a home run player with high potential... As would the whole league;)Pryor or whoever head of scouting was said that Dubas told them to swing for high potential home run type guys in the draft.

It sounds like you used a lot of words to say that he sucks - or at least should have been picked in the second round. I saw that some lists had him listed around 10 overall so as you say. Some scouts liked him. Too bad that Benson was picked just before us. By the descriptions of the available play...

I generally agree with you dodint, but clever players might be useful since they have connections, can scout a little and know the game somewhat. A Shanahan is ok but Gretzky and Rpy have not been so successful?

Good luck with the scouting stuff, Mikey. Send some good AHLers to Örebro (or Linköping where I currently live)
It is hard to just focus on one thing even if I should. Work go afford stuff, exercising/ competing in sports, family life and get some sleep...

Short answer: Improve G. Try to get rid of CDS and Granlund. I do not want to lose a round 1-3 pick so I guess buyout is the only option.

How high in the draft do you have Leo Carlsson, @mikey? No chance that he falls to us, I guess.
He is the youngest player ever to play a World Championships for Sweden. I know the team is bad this year, but the next young debutees on the list are Bäckström, Sedin x 2 and Forsberg...
