141596 A graduated rate that pays HS a lower wage will encourage businesses to use HS at the expense of those 20-26 they may have families...it's a slippery slope. I disagree with that, as I sort of alluded to in my response to tif. Younger people now are paid less regardless of a graduated minimum...
BEER
More or less.
I'm not sure what else they would make session beers out of... a session stout/porter kind of defeats the purpose of the style.

BEER
I much prefer session IPAs over actual IPAs. Founders All Day is great, Pinner was good.

They would likely be paying younger hires less anyway, since older employees would have more experience/better credentials. But at least that's merit based, and not tied to an attribute that the job candidate has no control over as regards their person. If you look at it that way, one could argue t...

Anyone for a graduated minimum wage? Should High School students working at the local pizza shop part time also be making $15? I'd be ok with high school at 6 dollars, 18-25yrs 8 or 9 dollars, and 26 + being 11 dollars. Different rates for identical work sounds awful. It was terrible in the militar...

You say that, but do you really think WVU is going to beat out other B12 schools in their home states, let alone other schools from the P5?
Doubt it.

I'm not a fan of the fuel idea, mostly because I want to see the drivers going as fast as possible while still within the limits of the track. Reducing the fuel load and forcing them to be careful just changes it to glorified highway driving.

Going into the Anaheim game, he had 9 points in his last 8 games (I think that was the stat). I believe his assist on Maatta's goal made that 10 in 9.

Dupuis Retires Due to Medical Condition
Sounds like Dupuis wanted one last chance to work through it, and this was the result. I won't criticize the organization over how this was handled. Good luck to Pascal; his locker room presence will be missed. Along the same line, the reuniting of Kunitz-Crosby-Dupuis in the current context makes ...

I guess you could call me a Johnston "supporter", mostly because I feel it would be fruitless to fire him given the state of the league as a whole and what he's been given on the defensive backend.

And I'm saying the on-ice product around the league is the reason why the scoring is down. You can make as many head to head comparisons as you want relative to the rest of the league, but the game is so substantially different now that I'm not sure the comparison really works. And, as others and I ...

Ethical question. I ordered 2 items from Amazon which should have been here today but were "delayed in transit" and won't be here until tomorrow. Would you complain to Amazon about the delay in hopes of getting a small credit? I am a Prime member for the "free" 2 day shipping, so when it takes more...

I'd say it's definitely relevant (I think mikey was exaggerating about the merger thing). The NHL now is worried about clogging up the center of the ice and the neutral zone, which requires teams to have defensemen who can move the puck around that. The NHL in 06-07 was nowhere near as bad in that r...

06-07 was a different time. They actually called penalties then, and the whole league wasn't caught up in playing trap-style defense.
