There's literally 6 minutes of golf in between every commercial break. It's like they took all the breaks they're not allowed to use at the Masters and shoved them into the PGA Championship. CBS is terrible when it comes to broadcasting golf. They went the first 20 minutes of the broadcast today wi...

Big old pileup on the leaderboard at Whistling Straits. The afternoon isn't playing as difficult as yesterday's did. This weekend is going to be crazy.

Penn State Named “Best College Football Team In Pennsylvania” By CBS Sports http://onwardstate.com/2015/08/14/penn-state-named-best-college-football-team-in-pennsylvania-by-cbs-sports/ :pop: Like there was much competition? I guess Villanova in a better year may have given them a bit of a run. Buck...

Gary McCord rivals Johnny Miller for most intolerable golf commentator. Best part about Augusta. I can't stand any of CBS's production of majors...or golf overall for that matter. It's pretty painful to watch sometimes. As for the golf itself today, the morning wave certainly had the advantage when...

Rory's injury will be a non-factor this week. His lack of playing tournament golf since the US Open will be his main problem if he's not as competitive as expected. My one-and-done pick is Day. It's his turn to win a major. He's been in contention way too much the last 4 years to not finally get one...

Do people still think the Blue Jays made a mistake? I'd like to meet those who thought the Jays made a mistake and have their baseball brains examined. All that team needed was some pitching and they were gonna skyrocket with that offense. They add a guy with Cy Young potential and a terrific hitti...

KC broadcast just explained it...and this one makes it even more bizarre... There are two different walls. There's the one that the ball hit, which its top is the silver railing and then there's the wall that the ball flew over, whose top is below that of the top of the wall the ball originally hit ...

2015 Pittsburgh Pirates Thread

I looked at the Post-Gazette's Pirates beat writer's twitter to see if he had any insight and one person thought that the wall above the padding and below the railing may be a stadium ground rule that it's like the ball hit the ground and bounded over the fence for a ground-rule double. If so, then ...

Hahahaha. New York says, "no comment" That's just dumb. I guarantee that 99% of the fans out there watching this game have no idea why it was called this way, including yours truly, who has been umpiring HS baseball for 11 years. I scrolled thru both my HS rulebooks and the MLB rulebook online and ...

see? just got back in it with a bird on 9 He has to be at 15 when he steps on that 13th tee. 10 is driveable so that should be a birdie. 11 is pretty tough so just escape with par. 12 is a wedge opportunity to get close. If he gets to 15 by the time he's on 13 then it's still in the discussion. So ...

Edit: Lots of ugly ass puts from Spieth.

He iced the puck on that first one. That should close the book on his Slam chances.

Definition of nerves -- Dunne hits his 2nd at 1 SHORT of the burn, makes bogey. Then hits a full sleeve of balls off the 2nd tee. Pardon the obvious pun, but he's Dunne.

Saying "we"/"us" to refer to your favorite sports team

I will always use 'we' when referring to my alma mater. I went there and I'm still a contributor to the athletic fund. When it comes to any of the other teams I root for, I might slip a 'we' in every once in a while, but I prefer to use the team name.
