Kapanen to WBS

We can get up to 9 NHL games out of him without burning a year or counting towards a year of service. Just for informational purposes, I'm not necessarily in favor of that course of action...

Yup, that's another good one. Big, dumb hockey players get bucks. At least Engo and Bort are RHS, so they fill a quota, so to speak...Sbisa is LHS...he could easily be improved upon for under a $1 million...

Hockey Randomness

Luca Sbisa got 3 years, $3.6 million from Vancouver. And I thought, "hmm, he didn't embarrass himself this year like usual...good for him to take the job security and stay in the league like that..." then it turned out to be $3.6 PER year...that's brutal. I'd rather have Luke Schenn at $3.6 then thi...

Crosby or Malkin, who would you keep?

Well, you can always go conventional buyout with Rob Scuderi. For the people that don't like him the most, you could make the claim that he's already dead cap space. A savvy shopper could replace what he brings to the ice skill-wise for under a buck and a half... Adam Pardy for instance...Korbinian ...

Crosby or Malkin, who would you keep?

Can Letang be an option? Hopefully not...teams don't win without a #1 d-man. Letang's health has proven to be an issue. He is no help to us sitting in the press box. Assuming that information is true, would it be accurate to say that we aren't going to get full market value for him...? I'll take 80...

Meow's Morning Meeting - 4-7-15 vs. OTT

Yeah, I'm very supportive of the team because I saw what was built differently - both personnel and structure - and thought that we really had something...and we might...we might...the last few weeks there has been an uptick in work rate, especially from the captain...he steers us toward a lead befo...

Not for people that are of the mindset that if you're giving up the best player in the deal, then you've lost the deal...which would unquestionably be the case here... Is there ever a time when this isn't going to be the case? At what point does their age matter vs. cap structure vs. team needs? I'...

Stone, in particular, is incredibly intelligent. Just not overly skilled or a good skater. These gems exist, but we have other priorities in terms of attributes when we draft I guess...i'm not sure what those are to be honest and I respect the process, but some choices aren't just baffling with clea...

Players playing over their head or above their pay grade will tend to show cracks as season's go on/games become more important/pre- and advanced scouting is done more fervently...not unlike weak defenders with strong partners (Matt Carle with Chris Pronger, Andreas Lilja with Nicklas Lidstrom), wea...

I was not notified, no. As for wingers, you have Gio and Foligno as maybe line 3 guys...Deslauriers and Kaleta/who cares as 4th line guys...so let's just assume that's all taken care of or could be taken care of relatively easily... You have Moulson is a complementary guy without a lot of pop to his...
