That's my beef. There is no reasonable expectation of going miles north of the Wall, into Night King territory, and expect to somehow capture a wight from their huge army and then proceed to somehow escape back to the Wall before they are surrounded by thousands of wights.

As I mentioned, I don't envy D&D. They have the thankless job of trying to do GRRM's job for him, and close out an epic, sweeping fantasy series in a really short period of time. A lot of this fast and loose plotting/writing was almost inevitable.

The "touched by fire" burn and Brienne conversation was one of the few times in this whole show's run I've laughed out loud. That was good. The dck/cck conversation? Not so much.
