I'm with Shad. Her job is to serve you. She did not serve you. Food service is an unskilled, easily replaceable job . Incorrect. Typical or average (or below average) food service is an unskilled, easily replaceable job. Good servers (really good servers) are very skilled and are tough to replace. ...

people that used to be servers think its some trade secret to determine good service, bad service and understand justifications why it is happening one way or the other. you may also notice that none of the people who say they used to be servers are now cleaning up s*** or shoveling roadkill off of...

My wife started as a hostess at 15 and ended her food service career as bar manager when she was 25. She's done everything short of GM (that includes work in the kitchen). We would never demand, or even ask for, a server to be fired over attitude. I can't think of a situation outside of unwanted dir...

Star Wars discussion

We ended up watching ROTJ which was great. That furry singing creature scene that was added in is so cringeworthy, what was in place of that musical scene in the original? Was this at the end of the movie? I believe it replaced nothing. It was just added. The worst part of the ROTJ re-do is the cha...

is there a way to create a note on an iphone and share between multiple devices (ie my phone and my wifes phone - shopping list) http://keep.google.com At first my wife was like "That's dumb" and now it's a basic part of shopping in our household. There is an Android app, but you can use it in brow...

Do you think the US should go to the metic system?

I like the month/day/year because that's how we usually say it. August 12th 2015. But there is the 12th day if August 2015. I'm okay with the day first as long as kids are still allowed on airplanes.

To be clear, I did not think you were calling dodint a dodint but that dodints love granularity.

It's the granularity that dodint is craving.

Should kids be able to fly on an airplane?

76993 No, I felt no remorse Well, there you go. And we're not 'asked', as I said, we're just relocated without even being informed. Not that you'd have to consider that. What is worse, having your seat moved (and I've sat dodint on several flights and I know it sucks) or having a family spread out ...

Should kids be able to fly on an airplane?

It seems like some here are hostile to others having the choice to not be around children. Why is that? source? If a baby bothers you, it's a you problem. Not a baby problem. That isn't "hostile to others having the choice to not be around children". Heck, I even said child free flights are a cool ...

Should kids be able to fly on an airplane?

A tangential issue I also have with this is families that book the cheapest seats they can all over the cabin for their family, then stomp their feet at the gate until they force the airline to seat them together. As someone that is usually flying alone, I tend to lose my aisle or window seat and e...

Should kids be able to fly on an airplane?

The fat people argument I get. If you take up 2 seats, pay for 2 seats, etc. This is about people who have kids being punished for it. I swear some people think that once you have a kid you should give up several of your rights because of the demon seed you chose to bore and the burden on humanity t...

Should kids be able to fly on an airplane?

One thing I don't get is why do people with babies get on the plane any earlier than absolutely necessary? Do everyone a favor (including yourselves). Be the last to board and sit near the front of the plane so you can leave sooner. Because they need to install a car seat if the kid is under the ag...

I don't think anyone takes their child on flights for fun. Parents with kids are trying to get somewhere, the same as everyone else on the plane.
This is /thread to me.

Should kids be able to fly on an airplane?

We flew from Pittsburgh to Miami with our son a month ago. He never cried, whined, got loud, or bothered anyone. Heck, he actually fell asleep as we were landing. Who does that? Not every kid will be a nightmare on a flight. Child free flights would be a cool option though.

goes to show how corrupt the system really is IMO.
The system is corrupt, but it's more a factor of the citizenry mostly being uninformed sheep.
I think it's definitely combo of the apologetic liberal who thinks she can do no wrong and the uninformed sheep.
