What do you wear when you sleep?

Nothing. Wife convinced me to go that route. I fought it for a bit now I couldn't imagine any other way lol.
What was your wife's reasoning for that?

To me that seems like something you'd propose and she'd shoot down

TIL there was a project to re-build the Collosus of Rhodes in 2015 but it seems to have died down. I imagine it'll actually happen at some point though, which is cool

you missed the option for wearing nothing.
Dammit you're right

I've done it a few times and it was actually nice. Though I'm not sure the horrors my sheets went through

What do you wear when you sleep?

asking for a friend

also I wear just boxers. I've found wearing anything else just feels overly constructive and less comfortable

Though I'll usually wear gym shorts and a shirt if I'm a guest in someone's house and sleeping not in a private room

let me know if I missed anything options

mikey's Thread of Penguin Randomness

It’s a weird thing, pro sports. We’re going to buy at the deadline even though there’s only a microscopic chance of making a run. Like Columbus...trade Panarin. You should. He’s leaving. You won’t win the cup. You can blame it on him to please the fans. They might end up doing it, but it shouldn’t ...

This was not the game to complain about Johnson.
I just meant the game tying goal at the end of the third that hit off his nuts

The dads on Facebook that share Facebook images/statuses about killing/hurting their daughter's boyfriend. That screams terrible father/insecure to me. Yeah, this is one thing that I’ve never understood Obviously you don’t want anyone you care about dating a shitbag but the dads that do this come o...

I compare them to super hero movies. I have no interest in watching most of them (the only Marvel movies I've seen are the Deadpools) but I get why other people like them

Goldfinger was filmed 55 years ago. You have to have that perspective when you watch it. That said, I'm OK with liking Goldeneye more. But The World is Not Enough? Jesus What do you mean by perspective? I don't have a problem with how it aged. I'm just not huge into the Bond formula other than the ...

I finally watched Goldfinger, which is the first non-Brosnan, non-Craig Bond movie I've ever seen It was good, no doubt, but a part of me is thinking "yeah, this is kind of why it's taken me so long to watch these". Definitely very formulaic, not saying the Brosnan ones aren't, but I grew up on Gold...

Since I feel like I can relate to some of shmenguin's comments, I'll chime in. For me, I guess it's about the quest for equanimity. And I think that starts with finding a reliable, scaleable something to guide how you live. Call it a personal philosophy, worldview, ethic, style. I'm not sure there'...

So Louisiana apparently has a law against "posting of criminal activity for notoriety and publicity," and a woman was arrested under that law for posting a video of a schoolyard fistfight. The police seem to have effed up because the statute says it applies only to "a person who is either a princip...

ever since I got a car with a rear-view camera I generally back into spots. Yes, backing in can be annoying for people that are waiting, but they would have to back out anyway and it would take around the same amount of time I prefer backing in first so that when I'm ready to leave I can just zoom out

Infinite nothingness doesn't sound fun
It wouldn't be fun. It also wouldn't be not fun. It would be nothing. You wouldn't experience anything, you would merely cease to exist.

The determinism vs free will discussion is hugely interesting to me and despite my anxieties I'm somehow not bothered by it. I'm good enough that we have the illusion of free will at the very least so that's why I'm ok with it What really **** me up is coming to terms with my death. Infinite nothing...

This credit card churning stuff amazes me. So looking at different blogs regarding the 3/65 rule it is technically possible to open a card, get the points, wait 18 months, apply for that card again WHILE YOUR FIRST CARD IS STILL OPEN!, get approved and get more points? That’s insanity. I'm amazed t...
