That report is awful. I can't understand why the people who are close to Biden didn't push him to not run for re-election. He could have announced in 2022 that he was only serving 1 term, make it out that his plan all along was to undo the damage caused by Trump, etc. and set up an heir apparent. Th...

Last two episodes of True Detective have not been great. With two episodes left, they have a lot of detectiving to do. Yeah, I'm pretty underwhelmed. It's amazing how season 1 really caught lightning in a bottle and every other season... hasn't. Everything this time around seems forced. The S1 refe...

Idris Elba's Apple TV+ show Hijack is getting a second season. Good show if you haven't watched it yet. Hmm. I guess I'm down if they put him in another situation that's not just a plane. Idk. Trying to think of something with similar stakes. If it's just him on a plane again (or talking to someone...

I finished watching the Ray Donovan series last night, then saw they made a movie to tie up the loose ends. I went to Paramount+ with Showtime to watch the movie today. It's not there. The movie is a 9.99 rental. F all of these companies.

I once got sh*t for photographing a HS senior with a US flag wrapped around her shoulders. People thought it was disrespecting the flag. I'd bet good money that every one of the people who whined about that voted for Trump.

More proof the Trump wing of the Rs don't really care about the border crisis and are just using it to score points: Sen. Mitt Romney (R-Utah) on Thursday took aim at former President Trump for pushing Republican lawmakers to oppose a border deal so that he could use the issue to campaign against Pr...

Regarding true detective. It would probably help, it's only 2 episodes in, but it's feeling like more of a direct sequel to season 1 than just callbacks at this point. Like that guy dancing, if you paid attention to his name and illness and you remember season 1 well, you'll see what I mean Hmmm. I...

Watched the first episode of True Detective season 4 last night. Not a bad start. The interpretive dance was... a choice. The rest was pretty good though. Look forward to seeing where it goes.

Lately when I click a link to a website (usually going to a news site) I get the standard Chrome "This page can't be reached" error screen. I have to refresh the page 4-8x before it finally loads. It happens on a variety of sites, so I suspect it's something with my computer or browser. I'm using Ad...

If Republicans (pols and media, not voters) really wanted the immigration issue to be solved, they would stop going on TV and proclaiming to listeners around the world that the US has an open border where anyone who wants to can waltz right in and get a free ride. R's know that's not true, and sayin...

It’s literally begging the fed to have a conflict right before election time. That's exactly what the Rs/Texas wants. Imagine the spin. "Biden usurps states' rights to aid illegals!" "Biden seizes control of the national guard so that more illegals can freely cross the border!" "Biden welcomes rapi...

Imagine how far along these would be had big oil and our useless Congress not killed development. The same way with renewable energy. Carter put solar panels on the White House roof, but Reagan's team had them removed a few years later. Imagine if all of this stuff had got a legitimate shot 40+ yea...

Season 1 of Mayor of Kingstown had some pretty good moments. Yeah, the writing was pretty ham-fisted, but I enjoyed it for the most part. Season 2 is a completely trainwreck. I can't even believe it was produced as it was so clearly thrown together and half-assed. A couple of the episodes barely cra...

I seem to have lost one of the keyfobs for my Subaru. I'm sure getting a replacement from a dealer would be stupid expensive, but what are the best alternatives? Can I trust that a fob from some weird website like generickeyscheap dot com are actually going to work?

Switching sides, how worried are we that the Middle East is going to keep the far left at home come election day? I know my twitter algorithm skews highly that way, but there's a lot of talk about staying home because of Israel-Palestine. I think it's going to be a major factor in the youth vote. I...

I'll always take any opportunity to harp on entertainment execs being the most uncreative people on the planet. That's because (especially now more than ever) they're not creative talent. They're simply CEOs seeking to maximize profits for stock holders. They don't care about the quality of what th...
