This is the right advice.

I wouldn't answer an FBI agent if he asked me what time it was. No one should ever talk to law enforcement about anything.

I wonder if there's a "drawbridgemax" size class for superyachts that's named after that drawbridge. Like "Seawaymax" describes the largest ship size that can use the St. Lawrence Seaway, and "Panamax" is the same for the Panama Canal.

The people who say "Why didn't you shoot them in the hand/leg/whatever?" largely also don't have any idea how difficult it is to aim a handgun. I'm mostly a handgunner, and shooting handguns is difficult . They have short sight radii, they aren't supported by any major bones in any firing positions,...

I think it's pretty clear on this board that I'm not a blind supporter of the police. But everything I've seen about the Columbus shooting supports that it was a good shoot, and this furthers that view.

I just learned that April is Alcohol Awareness Month. I suggest we all demonstrate our awareness by drinking more tasty alcohol.

That would raise other questions. Is there an official policy that says "no private use of your email account"? What are the designated punishments for that? Does termination exceed the usual punishments? If it turns out that most people caught using their gov't email like this just get a warning, b...

At-will employees of private companies can be fired for any reason. But public employees (such as police officers) cannot be fired in ways that would violate the Constitution, even if their employment is otherwise at will.

Made a big batch (some to freeze) of what I call "supreme pizza" spaghetti sauce. It's San Marzano tomatoes with sausage, pepperoni, onions, bell pepper, black olives, and anchovies. The tomatoes were low salt, and I don't add any extra salt, so the anchovies are basically the salt for the recipe an...

There's an interesting legal question there as to whether giving a donation would qualify as speech under the 1A. If so, then an public employee discharged for making such a donation could have a case for First Amendment retaliation against his or her employer.

The eligibility thing is to make it easier for officials to keep track of who can be downfield during a forward pass. If making this change makes it harder to officiate the game, that will suck. Because they're already kinda bad at it. OL still are limited in their number choice so I dont think thi...

I feel like bicyclists are protesting fossil fuels, so surely they are fair game as well in this... Oh, yes, please. Especially those "critical mass" rides where the cyclists block traffic for miles and run every stoplight and stop sign. Call those unlawful protests and run their spandex-wearing as...

While I dabble in bird law, I'm not a lawyer so I can't say for sure but it seems like those employees could sue their employers for discrimination. I just don't see that happening in an office environment. You don't need to provide other vaccination records. "Anti-vax" (or "dumbass") is not a prot...

The woman killed at the Capitol on 1/6 was not murdered. She was shot while trying to raid the seat of our government. I'm as much of a "**** the police" guy as the next but holy **** man. I had arm soreness and felt a little cruddy for about 24 hours after shot 1, but that's it. I tend to not get very sick even when I do get sick. Many times the only manifestation of an illness for me is fatigue, so I'd me more surprised if I did have a big reaction to these shots. We'll see how shot...
