I mean, DeSmih's hand was far from hot last game... Nice assist, but pretty horrid actual goaltending

I just found out HBOMax has a bunch of top-tier international films available, which is good news for me as it allows me the opportunity to take myself to school and catch up on some classics. First on the list is the The Umbrellas of Cherbourg. No spoilers in the review, but it is fairly lengthy, h...

These guys are also rustier than usual, so it's not a bad idea to get your depth players some game action as well early on, if the opportunity provides itself.

Matheson on PP2 over Petts as well, which is a no-brainer, really.

Finished Ted Lasso. What a great show. Think I may want to go back and rewatch Scrubs after this. Any other good shows on apple tv? Late to the party, but yes, Ted Lasso is indeed a delight. As far as other shows, I've heard decent things about Tehran, which is a drama, but apart from that, dunno.

No, but it probably would've made for a more interesting movie. On The Rocks looked bad. Do they bang at the end? That's kind of how the trailer felt.

What's your take on where 22 ended up once she got her Earth chip? The sequence seemed to imply that she was dropping into China, or thereabouts. Yeah, that seemed to look like the general area. Hopefully it was somewhere in there where she can enjoy her zest for life completely uninhibited.

Recent non-Pixar movie dump: Hunt For The Wilderpeople : Excellent. Well-crafted film with mass appeal. Has pretty much everything you want from a movie of its ilk. Currently on Netflix, and I recommend subtitles or else you'll miss out copious amounts of New Zealand slang (as well as lyrics to an o...

Recent Pixar movie dump (ranked in order of enjoyment): Soul : Echo the sentiments regarding nocera's summary (and even if it were unapolagetically black, who the **** cares). For me this was a very good, not great, film (and I play piano and studied jazz drums for a while and often feel creatively ...

Just ordered this. Has rave reviews and accompanies an exhibition by Watterson at OSU a few years back. The interview within is supposed to be definitive and outstanding. https://store.gocomics.com/wp-content/uploads/2017/04/9781449460365_frontcover.jpg Cool cool, wasn't aware of that -- let us kno...

Hopefully it continues to be this good. Recently finished it. I liked it a good bit, thought it was pretty good, but expected ju...

Star Wars discussion (SPOILERS INCLUDED)
Shades of the final few minutes of Rogue One. I had the exact same thought afterwards. Nice to see we got another "height of their powers" scene. My only issue with that episode was the T-4 pilot saying he was on the Death Star, but being like 19 years old in this episode. I guess he was on the sec...

Happiest Season is excellent. I enjoyed it. Always fun recognizing different PGH spots. I thought they should've pushed the angle of her and Aubrey Plaza's character harder, with them ending up together and Mackenzie Davis' character admitting she's not ready to be in an open relationship. Would've...

Watched Quantum of Solace for the first time since the theater. I liked that movie way better than I thought I did. Quantum is perfectly fine, it was just coming off the glory that was Casino Royale so people were really let down. The opening car sequence is fantastic. Olga is fire and the jacket C...

So wait, he has a cameo in his own movie? Or will the literal actor Tom Holland have a cameo and be like "hey, that's me!" as his spidey is swinging around?
Or it's a joke that I missed because I'm tired.

Oof, yeah. That hadn't really occurred to me before, but makes a lot of sense, sadly. A supremely shitty situation all around.Nurses just said a lot of people are just getting depressed around this time of the year due to not allowing to see family, etc. So they just kind of shut down.
