Visited the WTC today, since we're staying 15 miles from NYC for a wedding. Pretty neat to see, but it was about as much of NYC as I could tolerate. Way too many people. is the 9/11 site a regular guided tour or self-guided? we have to spend a night in NYC on our way back from Italy in September so...

so after many years away I have re-activated my Netflix account. the last time I had Netflix they had basically just started the streaming option. there were no "Netflix shows" and their selection of movies was pretty pathetic. I've got a lot of catching up to do this Summer!

we had tickets for the guided night tour when we were in the Bay Area for USA Hockey Nationals a few years ago. unfortunately (or fortunately) we made the finals and it would've been almost impossible to make our tour time. the people at Alcatraz Cruises were fantastic though and refunded our ticke...

No, this is a standard day tour. Night tour would've been cool though... you might give them a call and see if you can switch. everything I read said that the night tour was better mainly because you got to see areas the regular tour doesn't allow and it's lead by docents who have a TON of knowledg...

43104 Look into getting your Alcatraz tickets ASAP. They sell out months ahead of time and are basically impossible to get once you get there. Done back in March, as soon as the 90 day window opened up. Also, we got it as part of a transit pass for the week. We'll only rent a car to get out to "End...

Going to Nashville again in a month. Can't wait. I love that city Hot chicken! Is hot chicken as good as it looks? Arizona Coyotes Lost $34.5 Million in 2014-15

Hockey in these non-traditional markets is interesting. I know someone who grew up in Atlanta and his father is a big honcho in the youth hockey circles there. So grew up playing and always being around the game. I asked him if he was bummed when the Thrashers moved and he replied, "No, my family i...

Blacklist has really picked it up in the 2nd half of the season. for awhile it seemed like they were just treading water but now they really seem to have a focus and target plot.
they still can't follow proper procedure worth a damn but I can overlook that. :)

I still think it was clearly a goal. I totally get why it wasn't called on the ice because it was SO quick but looking at the replay there's no doubt in my mind that the puck was completely over the goal line.

They may be in the playoffs, but the Jets are very much still the Thrashers. because they have too much leftover low-end talent from when the Thrashers owners instructed the GM to go as cheap as possible. on another note let me just say how happy I am to see this franchise go to 0-8 in the playoffs...
