GDT #71: Pens vs Canes
Normally the Pens video team knocks these things out of the park. I wasn’t a fan of that concept at all.

Took the day off and went to Falling Waters with the wife. Got back into town around 2 and we decided to go to keep the party going and go see Ghostbusters. It was pretty okay. Overall, I had a good time though I think I prefer Afterlife. As others said, the new characters fall pretty flat. And bec...

Oh, there was a family in front of us with a young girl. She couldn’t have been older than 4 or 5. They didn’t make it 15 minutes before she was too scared and they had to leave.

I know I deserve this for buying an Insignia, but I love Smart TVs that immediately go into a deafening trailer when you turn them on. No home screen, straight into a loud video. It's outrageous, egregious, preposterous. I’m confused. Your TV automatically plays a random trailer when you turn it on?

Just go back to the uniforms used from the 60s to the 90s or whenever they made the switch to those god awful late 90s unis. Go back to the old logo too.

We had GB1 on VHS so I watched that constantly. I then got super into the cartoon, which lead to me seeing GB2 in theaters. Now that I think about it, my reaction to GB2 in the theater was probably the reason why my mom did not allow me to see Batman in the theater a few weeks later. I was so mad at...

That's great. My first theater memory is GB2 and watching from the aisle near the door because it was so damn scary that I often had to run into the hallway. I must've been 5 years old and Vigo had me shook.

Yeah there are some wild what ifs out there. Harrison Ford was offered Alan Grant in JP, John Travolta turned down Forrest Gump, Jack Nicholson as Michael Corleon, Robert Redford as Superman, Elf was originally written for Jim Carey, and so on.

Three elements in the hip drop. Grip - usually high, neck/shoulder. Rotation - Usually a twisting motion where the tackler is becoming perpendicular to the runner. And John Candy in the Rick Moranis role but he turned it down. As much as I love John Candy, there's only one Louis Tully. It would've been a much different character with Candy.

Ghostbusters 84 is still my favorite movie of all time. It's insanely rewatchable and it's just as entertaining as an adult as it was when I was a kid. It hits different now, obviously. Ray's ghost blowjob dream is a real wtf moment when you're finally old enough to realize what's happening. The og ...

Bombing suspects are a different breed in terms of their catchability. There's usually no outward indication of their involvement (as direct action on their part is often not required by the nature of the thing), they aren't waving a weapon around and shouting slogans and whatnot, they aren't requi...

I'm honestly surprised they got all (?) 4 of them alive and this quickly, especially given that it took us like 4 days to catch the Boston Marathon bombers. Well, Russia claims that they got all 4 of them. They then tortured them until they confessed. Now historically torture isn't the most reliabl...
