I believe (correct me if I'm wrong) that Poltergeist and Gremlins were basically the "reason" for why PG 13 became a thing.

Up until then a movie was PG if it didn't contain excessive profanity and gore.

Watched the first episode of True Detective season 4 last night. Not a bad start. The interpretive dance was... a choice. The rest was pretty good though. Look forward to seeing where it goes.
