Pens seek tech help to improve team and/or keep fans from becoming bored

Simply put - focus the in game entertainment content to hockey - not surfing the crowd. Put together something... anything... hockey related. I'd rather watch that than a bunch of yinzers falling over themselves to get on the big screen while their eyes keep darting up to the screen to see if they m...

Penguins hire analytics expert from Carnegie Mellon - Slappybrown related

I'm interested to know much how analytics play a role in decisions. Sure, all the teams say how nice it is to have an advanced stat guy, but do GMs really turn down deals because a guy has a poopoo Corsi? I would guess if analytics back up a GMs gut feeling, he likes the advanced stats and if they ...

KESSEL TO PIT FOR HARRINGTON, KAPANEN, AND A PICK

When the game is on the line, can you think of anything else you'd rather have than a goal?

Turn the music down in between whistles.
It kills the crowd when they actually are cheering.

"Thank You, Pittsburgh" - Paul Martin

Hockey takeaways: Kunitz - was he hurt last year more than we think, causing the obvious slow down. Talbot - When Martin says "He's good at what he does", I'm assuming we are talking about chirping. Guys like Talbot in the dressing room leads me to the Orpik bit. Seems like an odd mix to have guys l...

Your ideal winger for Crosby

If you could pick one guy around the league that you feel would be the best fit for Crosby on his wing, who would that be?

I have to think Phil Kessel is got to be in a top 5 or so. Speed, a right handed shot, quick release, enough of a playmaking threat to create balance.

KESSEL TO PIT FOR HARRINGTON, KAPANEN, AND A PICK

The pp is balanced. It's...it's weird
well on paper... but let's pray that Crosby or Malkin doesn't have some weird dream at night and suddenly demand playing on the left wing wall for some odd reason.

Off Season Moves Thread

Kessel is a blockbuster. Not only do we have a legit top winger... we have a top guy in the league who has some serious speed, ability to create his own space, and is a right handed shot to boot. If you ask me, pairing him with either Crosby or Malkin is a game changer... In years past I think you c...

Fair points, both. At this stage, if we are all in agreement, then let everything go in this thread at this point. To both of your points, at this point in the series, if you aren't caught up in the books, you probably aren't planning on getting there. So to go back to DD's point, there is a 0.05% ...

48597 Would the injuries Drogon suffered be potentially fatal? No. Still kind of lame, the biggest of the 3 looked down right small. Like dire wolf size. Yeah, I don't think that scene was well done. The question of whether someone is hot or not being sexist should be openly mocked. Please America.. can we stop going down this stupid path of PC gibberish because a few women are making excuses as to why we don't line their pockets with more money.
