Yea this doesnt really seem all that dodgy to me. Asking questions makes it dodgy. You, yourself, said it makes a ton of sense for employee and you. Why create more drama beyond that at even a superficial level? I am on this side. The idea of bringing this up to either the direct report or the mana...

Who uses the vaccine card?Your pharmacist is very wrong.Oh, and I brought my covid vaccine card with me and the pharmacist never brought it up. I asked her if they still needed to fill it out and she said, "If you want for your records, but no one really uses them now." So there's that.

So, just to clarify........ is it your assertion that it was just the border wall that made people think Trump was [long list of sh**ty things]? Or primarily the wall? I'd like to know the context for the framing of the question. Trump was called those things specifically for building his wall. Tha...

If it's in a personal message and not a channel, using Teams for long messages with attachments is dumb. Especially if it's somebody you message frequently. Sure, you can try to remember a keyword and search or go through a list of files to find what you need, but let's not pretend like that's an e...

I know everyone talks up "newborn snuggles", but honestly, it is so much better now that he is older and decides he wants to cuddle in, contact nap, or similar things.

ok I'm gonna be that guy...why would you prefer it on email? Teams is not any worse of conveying a long message vs an email Of course it is. Teams is a messaging platform meant for back and forth communication, normally solving quick and easy problems. There is also a different response time expect...

We exclusively use slack. No internal communication is done via email. The idea of having to split communication between systems would be very annoying to me.

Dog got bit at daycare yesterday and luckily she was okay. Shaken but unharmed. I expected her to be a bit down and skiddish when she got home. Nope. 3x her normal energy, absolutely flying it.
Now just to see how she is when she goes back on Friday. It's usually her favorite place.

A friend of mine was part of a layoff recently where a division within a company was dissolved. They told them an end date that was two weeks out. It did three things 1) an additional month of health benefits and 2) time to interview on other teams within the company if they wished to stay. All the ...

Amtrak is probably more heavily used in the Northeast than the rest of the country and probably make up most of those 23M riders. When I had to travel for work to NYC and Stamford, CT, Amtrak was a no brainier compared to driving or flying. Yeah, I use Amtrak anytime I'm going to NYC. Not dealing w...

I’m on a trip in Boston at the moment. Attending a couple different conferences and doing some customer visits. The show I’m at today is in the club houses in Gillette Stadium. Weirdest location I’ve ever been to for a show. You got some fantastic weather while here. Hope you get some break to enjoy.
COVID-19
What are the latest initial symptoms of covid? I woke up today with a scratchy throat, runny nose, and slight cough. I need to get a test kit. I felt like I was getting a head cold - lots of congestion and associated issues (sinus pressure, headache, blocked ears). Then the fever/chills/aches start...

And the baby has a fever of 102... our pediatrician said she has seen a huge surge in cases in the past 10 days.
COVID-19
Did you only just test positive today? I had a similar experience with my bout exactly a year ago - Monday was fine, little stuffy. Tuesday woke up feeling worse, tested positive. Tuesday evening I took a nap and woke up with a 105 fever. Went back down before I went to sleep. Never hit past 102 af...

COVID-19
Hopefully you case is mild and you get over it quickly... if it is super mild, maybe it was good timing! I wouldn't want to have to work while your husband was away and now you don't have to. Maybe... It's already not mild, but hopefully passes quickly. The baby was vaccinated within the last coupl...
COVID-19
After 3.5 years, I finally got Covid. Of course it has to come when my husband is traveling, so it's me, the baby, and the dog all by ourselves.
