Politics And Current Events

There's a place between everything's fine and the everything's going to hell. Through this country's history I would guess that there are always people on the extremes, but reality is probably in the middle. Although history would say that the "going to hell" side will come at some point.

Okay... now I'm 100% lost and have no idea where you actually stand on the issue at hand.
The government should not take money from people. That's basically what any tax issue boils down to, for Guinness, I'm pretty sure.

Drinking Enjoy By for the first time... The hype was not a lie. What an excellent beer.
Why can't I find this beer in tx?! Ugh that's annoying, it's enjoy by 420 right?
I'm surprised you can't get it. Seems widely distributed. Do you not get any Stone beers?

Yeah, I agree. If it did happen that way, it would be all over. And I think the hospital would have found a way to make sure that it got out somehow.

On their eighth day of deliberations, the jurors convicted 11 of the 12 defendants of racketeering, a felony that carries up to 20 years in prison. Many of the defendants — a mixture of Atlanta public school teachers, testing coordinators and administrators — were also convicted of other charges, s...

I truly believe that in a future not that far away, intolerance (or whatever you want to call it) will be a crime punishable by either jail time or a readjustment camp. The kids coming out of college nowadays genuinely scare the crap out of me. Really? Or is it just the ones that get a lot of expos...

Hindsight is 20/20 and it is easy to say now it was a waste, which it was. But two years ago I would have thought he probably should have gotten it. Although it's hard to say not knowing all the circumstances and who would have gotten it instead. Also, the mom said he had troubles, but thought that ...

Regarding failure rates, that's a function of whatever you're doing. To me, hitting a baseball is probably one of the hardest things in sports to do. Just that singular skill. Whereas the skill of shooting a basketball isn't nearly as hard. More of what makes a player good has to do with quickness a...

Okay then. So Wilt Chamberlain's 100 point game was just luck of when he got all his points then right? there's a significant difference between baseball and every other sport in this regard. and like c2i said, it's not "just" luck, but luck plays enough of a factor for me to not give it the respec...

It would be interesting to look at the game recaps (if available) from DiMaggio's streak and look at all the 1-hit games and see how many times those hits could be attributed to luck.
You'd really need video as opposed to a recap to properly evaluate.
